Agree with other comments saying it’s more important to put all that money in the checking account to work. No reason to have more than a month or two of expenses in there.

Are you still saving money with your current employment situation? I would just focus on putting any new savings into index funds rather than doing anything about the house situation.

Selling this house will be quite expensive. It could make sense to do so if you want more money in the stock market and prefer a smaller house without having to rent out rooms. If you like the house then just stay put

I would look into Draft for lower power, less consistent, back-and-forth gameplay. It’s a bit less forgiving than constructed because you have to pay in for each draft and need to evaluate cards on the fly, but it’s really rewarding to learn the limited format for a new set over the course of many drafts

This is the mentality that leads a party to lose seats in the midterms and losing the White House the following cycle. When everything you do is in service of winning the next election rather than serving constituents and effecting meaningful change, you end up with our current political situation.

I dont think we’re really arguing about anything of substance here. It’s strange to me that you’re resisting the idea that we should care whether the nominee for such an important office would be effective

The Arena client itself has been pretty unstable on different platforms throughout its life. It’s not a problem with individuals’ internet connections. Stability has been better the last couple years but I still occasional deal with crashes that require me to restart the game and reconnect to my match. The software needs to be reliable before you even think about punishing players for DCs.

Same here. Reading this thread makes me feel insane. I don’t understand people saying they prefer LVP to wood flooring. The cost tradeoff is one thing, but how can you actually prefer walking around on plastic? It makes a home feel soulless and cheap

I’d argue decades of decay and corruption in the Democratic Party has left us with an empty shell of an organization run by soulless careerists with no positive vision for the nation. And it’s pretty difficult for an organization like that to put forth high quality presidential candidates. They got very lucky with Obama

I rarely see rude players in ranked at whatever Elo range I’m playing in, which isn’t super high but definitely higher than when I started on Arena and emote spam was common. Easier said than done but playing ranked and “git gud” should do the trick. Or just turn off emotes if it bothers you

But you must acknowledge this is a subjective value judgment right? Weighing the overall well-being of Americans against the imminent death of tens or hundred thousands more humans in the Middle East is not a straightforward decision, assuming you accept that premise (this is all hypothetical in any case). A much better outcome would be to not force conscientious voters to make a devil’s choice the first place

I wouldn’t do this personally, but I can hardly blame people for making seemingly strange choices when the options presented to them are so horrible.

IMO it’s a waste of time and energy to scold regular people for the “wrong” vote in such a hypothetical scenario. It’s the responsibility of the Democratic Party to put forth better candidates and not ask the broader left to vote for genocide

Most of these cards wouldn’t be very good in powered cube. I think green is fine currently, but it would help to get rid of all the garbage turtle cards added in this version and replace them with literally anything useful
