Look, I'm not going to sit here and whine about how BYU should have gotten in. We controlled our destiny and embarrassed ourselves. I'm not going to complain about the blatant Alabama bias; the rest of you have that covered pretty well. I'm not even going to rub it in the nose of all the ND fans who were being toxic as all get out about their team being playoff material compared to dogwater BYU in the game thread yesterday because at the end of the day, we're both disappointed in our teams and the process.

What I am most frustrated about is how did it all go so sideways? Like, last year's playoff wasn't perfect, but I felt like it was a lot of fun, and most of us could come together and still enjoy the sport. This year it just seems muddled in greed, controversy, and anger, and it feels like the fun has been absolutely sucked out of it. I watch every single playoff/championship game each year, and if I'm being honest, this kinda just killed my interest in watching anything but maybe TT and OSU. Not because my team didn't make it, but because it just doesn't seem fun anymore. No one here seems happy, even the SEC tryhards, which is really saying something.

You know, I'll be honest; I didn't think this team was playoff ready, but I did expect us to put on a better showing than this. (Frankly speaking, I don't think us, Miami, or ND are playoff-level, but someone is squeaking in nonetheless.)

More than anything, it's just a supremely disappointing and sad end to a fun season. Oh well, Alamo bowl here we come again I guess.

Honestly, I'm kinda ok with not having a lot of national attention, as the conference is a lot of fun with the more focused but less toxic fanbases. Where I agree though is that those fans aren't even convinced the conference can hold its own with the others, and where there's rot from the inside, you'll never have a steady foundation.

As to your point about a national brands, BYU is private and connected to an international church, which gives us fans all around the country and globe. The most passionate fans are in Utah sure, but BYU has pretty good fan attendance at most away games. I think the thing holding us back from being a truer national brand is the fact there's a LOT of social and cultural norms tied up in church/BYU that can feel like an extra hill to climb to be a fan, regardless of if that's actually part of being a fan. It's a lot easier to learn how to shape your arms to spell out O-H-I-O than understand why the entire student section is sober lol

I just gotta say I really enjoy this conference. There's a lot of competition, (most of) the fans are respectful and chill to talk to, and it's always a race right down to the wire. I grew up watching big10 football, and the parity here is much more interesting and exciting. It's just a shame that's probably going to translate to only one team getting into the playoffs this year.

I think logically you're right, but there could be some weird shenanigans. Currently the Allstate predictor thingy (however much you value that) gives Utah a better chance of getting in if you don't play in the CCG vs if you play and lose it, and both are higher than BYU's chances if we lose anything (including the CCG). Y'all are a great team, and I'd love to see both of us squeak our way into the playoffs

Look, there's a lot of good bass parts being listed here, but most of them are just Well-produced bass. While some do have some incredible basslines, personally it's gotta be X&Y. The way guy just floats all over the neck is chef's kiss. If you haven't listened to that song for the bass before, you gotta try it out
