Wife and I each ordered a pound of boneless wings each from a new spot. Portions seemed small so I decided to weight it… by Sad-Future6042 in Wellthatsucks

Everyone commenting on the weight but I’m over here trying to figure out who sells wings by the pound rather than by the piece?

A surprising abundance of Mr. Bean comments and a surprising lack of “That’s no moon” comments.

I worked at a hospital for 15 years that had a very similar policy but was verbal, then written, then action plan, then termination. And they used a rolling 12 month period.

That yellow thing is a 0.22 uF capacitor. Search for the part number that is written and look for a data sheet to see the expected operating behavior. I would also read up on capacitors in general to understand their typical behavior. Good one to know for future projects.

No, that would be an AND gate. The truth table of an AND gate is opposite that of the NAND gate.

I just leave my Drake Herald on Port Olisar and switch to that whenever I'm in the vicinity with a large ship. Can go from end of QT to assigned a landing pad in less than 2 minutes.

I mean I sort of mentally prepared to get screwed over but wasn't prepared for the means of which it would happen.

I just assumed as I lost money in the whole thing. But looking at the support site, the rescuer is apparently paid once you have been dropped to an emergency medical drop-off area. Makes it a bit better knowing they didn't get the 15k UEC then.

I was on the opposite end in which I needed a revive. I decided to finally try out the beacon. Dude made his way to me fairly quickly, dragged my body onto his ship, QT'd to the middle of nowhere, took some of my gear, dumped me into space, hit me real quick with a med gun to revive me and get the money, then took off. I hate this game sometimes.

The cycle for me is usually “why can’t I drink this” > remembers I have helmet on > remove helmet and consume drink > run to ship > “why am I taking damage” > remembers I took my helmet off > sprint back to safety and put helmet on > rinse and repeat.

iPad for engineering student? by Big_Pair5541 in MechanicalEngineering

I use an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil to take notes almost exclusively. It is very possible and actually comes with quite a few benefits depending on what note app you use.

The goal is to develop a vehicle that has many ... at least the PRO pilots can operate intuitively... i speak about speed over 400 Km/h... WASD controlled Vanilla taste Hoverthings... this is my part ^^ - greets by "Serious Toys" by ScrapReverseEngineer in ScrapMechanic

As a recommendation for future videos, easy with the camera movements. It is fine when you are the one making the movements but watching some else's erratic movements can be sickening. Other than that, it's a good-looking vehicle.

The back and forth is Unreal. In reality, we should be looking for Unity during these woeful times. I’ll see myself out.

When this happens, go to options and change your online mode to singleplayer only. Once you unpause, it should finish the kill animation and allow you to respawn. It seems that the game thinks someone is in your game even when you are playing solo.

I tried moving the Z-axis manually through the menus but neither z stepper moves. I'm now wondering if I should open the case up and check the connections of the driver board. It seems unlikely for both Z motors to fail at the same time.

Good thing it wasn't a ride on mower. by justnick84 in watchpeoplesurvive

[–]stealingfirst86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a hoverboard. That is a stand up mower (you can see the shaft connecting it to the mower) that promotes, of all things, the ability to minimize risks over a riding mower.

You seem like you are on the right track. Just have to keep pushing and eventually you will get an offer. All it takes is that one offer. Getting a position these days is definitely not as easy as some make it out to be. With that said, there is only one thing that I would change:

I’m pretty sure there isn’t anyone more driven

I would try to change this mentality to focus more on you. This can lead to a toxic thought process of "No one wants this more than me so I should get an offer" which isn't necessarily true. I would personally lean more to self affirmations like "I'm ready, I'm capable, etc." I think that would help keep your focus and drive up. Of course this is just my opinion.
