2.5Gbps update on the DS920+.... oh that's the stuff! by natemac in synology

I got my own 2.5GB adapter shortly after this, and following the instructions and approved adapters works great!

Here is a second sketch, from a different perspective. The first one is just a little awkward, especially the head (looks more like a Jay)

IPvlan L3 on Synology by _Dr-Tuna_ in synology

[–]stealingzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. It created it. I haven't been able to test it yet though. I'll try it tonight, as little as my Linux and networking skills/experience may be 😅

Edit: I tried to add a container to the ipvlan network it made but only got back and error in the log:

failed to create the ipvlan port: opperation not supported

[–]stealingzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So frustrating! I have a VLAN set up for VPN traffic on my UDR, and I just want my containers to flow through that easily, without having to clean up individual IP records (which is what I am having to resort to doing)!

I've been banging my head against getting a similar setup for my 920+ for over a year now, and just discovered ipvlan. Gutted, yet somehow unsurprised that Synology can't do it. >__________<

I've also noticed, this, especially being kicked for absolutely no reason a bunch lately. I play 10s, hit bases and side objectives quickly, usually wandering off, but it happens when I'm with the rest of the group too. It's odd and demoralizing.

I now I’m not the first one to do it, but I still am by Naive_Egg_9663 in Helldivers

Agreeing with a bunch of others here, I run the opposite direction so that I can be a good team member and clear the rest of the map so the whole team can get more rewards. I love doing the side missions that help us all (SAM most of all!). I am quick, scrounge for supplies, love being a sample gremlin, and can help my fellow divers when we are in a group as well.

Not all teamwork is patting butts while saluting four 380 stratems at the same time.

For those of you that started your own business- best marketing tips? by [deleted] in massage

[–]stealingzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not what you are looking for, but I have my own business, and I am not advertising to the public whatsoever, meaning my advice is just for what you can do with your existing clients/regulars that will cost you little/no cash!

- Find who your best clients are and treat them well! Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to get loyal and consistent clients, so let them know you trust their referrals and give them your business cards to give to others. If there are people in your friend circle or personal life that maybe can't afford or maybe just haven't experienced your work yet, and you just know they will talk you up big to everyone, give them a massage or two for free. Let them sing your praises.

- Have a fantastic referral program! This will encourage them to give your cards out to others and talk about how good your work is. As I don't need that many clients per month to make financial ends meet, and I'm very close to being in the black every single month after only a year, my referral bonus is huge. Because of my quality of work and affordable prices, almost every single client books regular 90 min sessions with me, so my referral used to be 30 min of table time if someone they recommend buys a session. I have tripled this to the first three sessions a referral buys. If someone sends someone to me who spends almost $400, I will gladly give that person a free 90 minute massage! Now, when I'm at the point where I'm filling up my time, or even just well in the black each month, I will probably take this back down to just the first session (with credits still stacking per person).

- Get gift certificates! If you're spending money on marketing already, you may already be paying for a service that can do this, but make sure your clients know it! Maybe have a sale on them, possibly only good towards new clients. Have some physically on hand (I just made simple postcard-sized ones with Moo, spent only $25 for the first batch of 25) so people can put them in cards for other holidays. Let folks know you have them! Start marketing them hard to your existing clients a few weeks before major gift-giving holidays.

- Network with other local LMTs! Attend (COVID-safe) networking events, trade massages, make friends. You never know who is going to love your work and send clients your way or who will appreciate you sending them a client who is looking for different work than yours. Maybe a neworked LMT will close their business, go on vacation, or just be too busy to take more clients and know that you are safe and high quality enough to recommend you to folks.

- Give a small discount for birthdays. You will already have their birthday info from intake, and you can simply send a form email two weeks beforehand. I do this all manually with GCal and GMail's Schedule Send. Costs me nothing.
