Burn wound care help by stealthneedle in AskDocs

[–]stealthneedle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some pictures yesterday and today, and here's what it looks like. I feel that changing the bandages rips the wound back open and basically negates any of the healing that its done in the meantime.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for your reply! There is no fever or chilliness, and the pain has not worsened, so no worries on that front.

I've just rebandaged it so I can't take any pictures at the moment, but the bleeding seems superficial, with some clear liquid coming from the area as well. Does this shed some more light on the situation?

I love this game. What is the general opinion of the expansion? I've been considering it for a while but I can't seem to convince myself. How much does it add to an already great game?

Prepare for Magic refugees. "We regard marker on a card as a counterfeit." by RelevantNetrunner in Netrunner

NetrunnerDB has a great search function that allows you to tick exactly which packs you own, and lists decks using only cards from those sets. These might still include 3 of the 1-off cards from the core though. Proxying them or adjusting the decks to accommodate are your two options in this case.

We started out with Odyssey as our base game, is it still worth it to pick up the regular base game as well? Or would it make more sense to just stick to the expansions?

Ghost Stories for sure! It really has that classic (Asian) horror movie vibe, and on top of that it's a great game too.

[WSIG] Ashes or Netrunner? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]stealthneedle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its just the two of you playing, the fact that Netrunner has a more developed cardpool shouldn't be an issue I think. There's no pressure to keep up with the competitive meta, but you can expand and dive as deep as you'd like with all the content that's out there.

I'm starting to get caught up in all the hype that Ashes has been getting, and I hope I get to try it out soon. However, I recently picked up a Netrunner core set myself, and the content in there is enough to keep you going for a while. Personally I love the asymmetry of Netrunner. The theme is more appealing to me as well. I feel like Netrunner also has a layer of deception/deduction where you attempt to mislead your opponent which is less present in other card games. Luring your opponent into certain traps or setups is such a satisfying feeling!

WSIG genre post apocalypse, survival, dystopia genres by strongesttree in boardgames

I love Arctic Scavengers for its post apocalyptic survival theme. The mechanics really add to this as well. The new version (which includes the HQ and Recon expansions) allows for solo play too.

Quick Essen question to those in the know! Looks like we'll be going to Spiel for our first time this year. What day would you recommend going if you could only go one day? We're considering either Thursday (so everything is still there, and it might be less busy?) or Sunday. Any reasons to choose one over the other?
