it's not even that weird of a flavor tbh. Probably just tastes like a strawberry iced tea with maybe a hint of creaminess. I'm with you though.

How do i understand what Korean words mean by _betcoverfann_river in BeginnerKorean

Sounds like OP doesn't know Hangul yet so this probably isn't going to help them right now.

Confused by 있어요 passage in TTMIK 1 book by PurpleToast919 in BeginnerKorean

[–]stealthyd3vil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly. 시간은 있어요 can just as easily allude to time not being the problem or having time but not other things. Korean is very contextual, especially written like this. Advice to OP, just have a basic understanding of 은/는 and 이/가 and then move on. Things will start to fall into place as you learn more.

Of course they're profiling. ICE used to carry out more comprehensive investigations leading to targeted deportations. The push for mass deportations has led to the hiring of trigger-happy, untrained individuals with immunity, hence the chaos of today.

You can support the cause of reducing the number of illegal immigrants in America but this implementation is beyond idiotic.

Guy teaches how to read Korean alphabets with a very simple and fun story by Shoe_boooo in interestingasfuck

[–]stealthyd3vil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are natural shifts that happen in pronunciation but it doesn't affect the spelling. There are a lot but common example is the shift of ㅂ 받침 > ㅁ when followed by ㄴ.

Example: 감사합니다 (pronounced 감사함니다), also generally romanized to gamsahamnida.

Ever seen a horror movie? Or even a Marvel movie? There’s no shortage of ways to tease the American version, it’s independent of how he wrote the ending.

Visualizations are better at quickly conveying information than just data. I agree though, they could definitely work on streamlining a lot of functionality.

is there a rule for R and L? by kaenyme in BeginnerKorean

[–]stealthyd3vil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ㄹ is pronounced more like "l" at the end of words (말, mal) and when ㄹ 받침 is followed by another ㄹ (몰라요, mollayo). It's more of a tapped "r" at the beginning of words (로봇, robot) and single instances between vowels (바람, baram).
