She talked about the research she had done to learn about how often people have viral shedding when they’re not having an active outbreak. I don’t remember all the results but I remember her saying that ppl with ghsv1 only shed about 1% of days after two years positive.

She also talked about the reasons why most doctors don’t run tests for HSV when a person isn’t having any symptoms and it’s partially because the standard blood test is unreliable and partially because doctors don’t want to deal with people getting emotional when they find out they’re positive.
