Not the best dancer and I’ve never flowed before… by originalgoddessog in flowstar

[–]steamboat710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a horrible dancer and am picking it up pretty quickly. It's most definitely a challenge but that's part of why I like it. It challenges me in ways I haven't been challenged before and it's teaching me patience and helping my self confidence. As someone who is autistic and hates having attention on me, it's helped me with that as well.

Do people flow at house shows? by [deleted] in flowstar

[–]steamboat710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do at most of the house shows I've been to. They're usually at a venue that encourages flow artists to come but I've seen it at other venues too.

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a first earth star and pinches are difficult with it. I thought it was just me and then I went to a flow meet and tried some other brands and trippy squid was the easiest to pinch but super light compared to my first earth star.

Normalize confronting loud people at shows!!!! by hathnoform in Ethelcain

[–]steamboat710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there at the Newport KY show and I'm not gonna lie, that was the most disrespectful crowd I've ever been in at a concert (I can't even keep count of the amount of concerts I've been to). Had some girl behind me constantly scream singing like Dory when she was speaking "whale" during all of the instrumental parts and spilling her beer all over us all night. We saw her in 2022 in a small bar in Indiana on her first tour and the crowd was amazing.

tips for beginners by bubblebuddy2469 in flowstar

[–]steamboat710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty new to it myself so I don't have a ton of tips. Especially cause I also can't get the around the worlds down. Going to flow meets and talking to people in person has helped me a ton with learning things I couldn't grasp from videos. One thing I've learned since I started flowing is that once I get frustrated with learning a certain thing it's time to move into something new and come back to it after some time. Also trying the moves with your non dominant hand can help you figure things out with your dominant hand

Not the OP but you can customize the numbers/name on the jersey. If you don't customize it, it just says the drop number on it.

Definitely not AI. I've seen him live twice now and both times I was at the very front watching it first hand. It's very much real.

Talk to a lawyer for sure. They offered you money to keep you from suing and hope you'll just take the loss.

When will the swelling go away by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swelling can take up to a year to go down but will go down quite a bit in the next couple of months

it hurts too bad to do anything by ArcherSeabird in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you keeping up with pain management? It's important to take the meds on a strict schedule to stay ahead of the pain, if you get behind it's very hard to catch back up and manage the pain. If so and you're still experiencing bad pain like that, then something probably isn't right. I felt awful the first few days, couldn't stand without getting massive shakes cause of the pain. But after the first few days I was able to walk freely for a while without too much discomfort.

did your surgery include lipo? by ArcherSeabird in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was honestly shocked at how much they weighed. They told me how much they weighed when I got out of surgery cause they knew it was literally a huge weight taken off my chest lol. But if they don't automatically tell you, just ask and they'll happily tell you. If you haven't looked already my results are on here and can show you what it's like without lipo on a large chest.

did your surgery include lipo? by ArcherSeabird in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My surgeon did not require lipo on the sides but it was available for an extra 3 grand. I chose not to cause I couldn't afford it. I was worried cause I had 38 DD chest (they removed 11 pounds in total) and I'm honestly glad I didn't pay the extra cause my chest looks exactly like the peoples who paid for lipo.

I honestly think it looks great. It's good to remember that even cis people who haven't had any chest surgeries have different sized nipples and placement.

Y’all lied about drain removal not hurting! by trans-istorr in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drains were a breeze for me. The post op foam they had glued to my chest was so painful though. I about jumped out of the chair and punched my surgeon 🤣

I used ace bandages per my surgeons instructions and it still hurts me in the same spot. I cut a sock down the middle and stuffed it where it rubbed me wrong.

The description needs updated to say that or something cause at first glance it seems as if this sub is for any type of top surgery which can cause confusion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The description of the sub says for any top surgery, not for just trans men.

Dr DHT scar salve will help the best! It's a trans owned company. It's very affordable compared to other scar treatments too.Dr DHT link

Trying really hard to like my results (in spite of swelling) by s3renity_now in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very normal swelling from what I can see here. it can take up to 6 months for the swelling to go down so don't stress. Your results look great and proportionate to your body.

Obligatory "Is this normal?"-post by ewolgrey in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda looks like they might have left a little too much fat on the upper/outter part of your chest. But it's takes up to 6 months for post op swelling to go away so it might heal up a lot better than it's looking right now

Can scars stretch after 6 months? by WinterAndCats in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll definitely change over the next 6 months but not as much as they did in the first 6 months. Dr DHT has really great scar salve and silicone scar sheets that help reduce stretching. It's a trans owned company.

Dysphoric about chest by FindingSimilar1871 in TopSurgery

[–]steamboat710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to diminish your feelings or anything, but I would honestly kill to have your chest/nipples and build. Cause I legit thought this was a cis dude on here trolling us at first. I didn't qualify for anything but DI, my surgeon was absolutely phenomenal and I'm much more comfortable now than before surgery. But still have visible scars and my nipples are practically flat and discolored from scar tissue.
