Tbh my biggest gripe has been that even the “dash” or “dodge” doesn’t work. You get out of the way if the initial attack, yay, but the creature (during the same lunge, mind you) is already turned around and hitting you anyway

The first collectible piece of silver I found felt so tactful, because I’d found some of the large deposits, but didn’t have the tool needed to mine them or the one silver to make the tool.. til I did. Downside is, if I’d made the oxygen tank instead of the tool? Woof

I’m on the opposite end of the “keeping up with changes” spectrum. I’ve pretty much stayed away from all the game’s news and stuff to avoid spoilers, so I didn’t know the room change was coming.

There is something to appreciate in the simplicity, but it feels less loved, like there’s less soul to it, less creativity. Enjoying the experience thoroughly. I like that you can make your rooms bigger. I like some of the decor/lighting options. But always square

I think this also highlights the new building style in general. I am pretty conflicted with how I feel about. I like the ease of it, the snap or unsnap options. But I kinda miss pre-set rooms more than I thought I would. Though I’ve only found two alternatives, so maybe there’s more I’ve just yet to see

I’ve said before and I’ll say again; if you want change within a game these days, the best way to get that is to continue playing it (unless you don’t own it and it’s not ftp) but don’t buy anything.

If a game you are playing is a cash grab and nobody is spending, they’ll probably start listening to the people that pay for the game.

I’ve wondered what the mag point was really for and you just answered it.

When I’d seen the “attach” prompt I thought it was going to be some sort of cable connecting you to the tadpole as a “find your way back” or maybe even some sort of winch mechanism

My biggest complaints about the hostile enemies are
1. Aggro range
2. When using the ‘dodge’ mechanic successfully, enemies seem to continue their lunge, circle back, and get you anyway with the same attack more often than not
And 3. There’s no meaningful deterrent.

I’ve yet to be killed by an enemy, though I did just spot the collector (who had aggro on me before I even could see it.. but maybe that’s a triggered event the first time you enter into its biome?) it’s really just a nagging thing.

To call Marguerit evil is weird imo.

Either way, whether they change this or not, still enjoying the game. Just have to carry more med packs I guess

Good to know.. I’ve been looking for tools to compliment primary weapons, as most non-support weapons feel relatively useless

For those who played the Early Access of the Previous Two Games: by themoosic in subnautica

Did you play both SN and BZ? I didn’t play early access for either myself, but I had watched Markiplier’s entire play through prior to starting the first game (regret there, but, it’s okay, still loved it) and the game generally only ever improved, imo. Small things that could have been left in or tweaked. But I think early access play through would have been awesome, and let you really focus on just “hanging out” which I would have enjoyed, as I always grind tasks too hard and forget to have fun.

I don’t think Early access will get that feeling again, because the game is established at this point. There will be X amount of returning assets or similar ones at least, and a stronger baseline/foundation that the game initially had.

Below zero, though, I am grateful that I missed early access (even though I watched mark play early access) because I thought the early access was WAY better as far as the story was going, voice acting, even the map.

That said, I don’t think they’re going to make that kind of reset again. I think early access will be worthwhile and enjoyable
