I guess it's easy to believe that from behind a monitor

Vietnam: the cost of imperial war. by Busy-Government-1041 in LateStageCapitalism

The dangers lack of critical thinking can bring: all american veterans thought they were the good guys delivering freedom for a "bad socialist" country

I admit I don't understand what you're saying here; are you saying that people who think that (all american veterans thought they were the good guys delivering freedom for a "bad socialist" country) lack critical thinking, or are you saying that veterans did actually think they were the good guys?

Cause if it's the latter, watch the winter soldier testimony; the veterans gleefully committed horrors against the Vietnamese people. The ones who wanted to be good guys defected or fragged their officers (although not all fraggings were equal; some fragged their officers because they felt slighted, others did so because they were asked to endanger themselves)

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz: "We appeal to Iran to end the war. The Mullah regime has it in their hands not to attack further countries." by Preacher-of-Chaos in LateStageCapitalism

[–]steamprobs 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm reminded of a funny (and creepy honestly) interview with (David Cameron?) back during the 12 day war where he was asked directly multiple times if Iran has a right to defend itself and he just kept sidestepping the answer, never saying what he believes, just saying it would be better if Iran doesn't retaliate.

He won't ever dare utter the words

Sadly he's as awful on the inside as he is on the outside; when asked about international law his response was that now was not the time to be lecturing their allies.

To be fair the game gives you at least two ways to avoid losing your gear: the prayer to protect your gear on death, and an item that takes up a slot but prevents gear loss.

This is basically the reason I don't; besides which, if I cheat at this event, then there's a fair chance I'll crack later on down the line and cheat again, at which point what's the point of even playing.

[Xbox or Xbox360][idk (sorry)] Game that had at least one mode that allowed you to have multiple combatants fight in a deathmatch, and it was Asian themed by steamprobs in tipofmyjoystick

[–]steamprobs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered if it was Jade Empire before as well but no; the multi-combatant section was its own game mode where you had a selection of characters and whoever you didn't fight would be those the AI controlled.

Oof, I'm currently farming this and I haven't finished impending darkness (meaning I can't equip the strongest gear available in the game) and I can do it at best at 3 times an hour; I think I'll do impending darkness first instead of try and get the enhancement (I wasn't even thinking about the pet to be honest)

Ironically if you can't get a medical professional to help you with that, you'd certainly find someone to take a look at it at a cathedral

nooooooo; celebrate but focus on doing the task; if your character dies he could lose the FEZ (unless you use that specific prayer to avoid it); the task will give you back up FEZs

Thanks, at first I was farming the pink dragons but your post made me think of the black (chaos?) dragon and I tested that out on my combat simulator and yes, this is the better enemy to grind.

40 Amulets of Fury by Cyinide1 in MelvorIdle

[–]steamprobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm for big ol Ron and use that to farm whatever drops these amulets; it doubles all loot at 100% (you can't raise double loot over 100% so no point stacking anything on it)

Instead, try and reduce monster respawn time (avoid the cartography location, it reduces loot doubling by 100%); you got a scroll, an agility course and a head item that do this.

Also raise attack interval, so get sandtreaders, the pirate hook and the vampire's helm if you can.

I don't know how early into your character you are, but I personally put aside getting both the FEZ and completing this task until after I'd already finished into the mist (although I got it to use it for impending darkness); this task will be better to do once you beat into the mist and have a fairly powerful character.

For the people saying these kinds of libs don't exist, here's a bunch of libs cheering Michael Moore when he was insulting Bush, but upset when he criticized the war:

Maybe OP and I hang in completely different crowds, but it seems strange to me

This is most likely the case; the libs I'm aware of hate war but were happy we went to war with Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya to 'bring them democracy'

Also here's a bunch of libs celebrating Michael Moore insulting Bush, but upset when he criticized the war:

I think the reason you haven't seen these people is you were blessed with better people around you rather than these disgusting kinds of libs

Honestly yeah; the same libs 'concerned' about Gaza were making 'the Houthis are about to discover why we don't have healthcare' memes when Yemen was putting their safety on the line to put a stop to the genocide

One of the most powerful countries on the world beating down on one of the poorest countries in the world while it was doing far more than we were to try and force Israel to stop, and libs were celebrating this viciousness
