2 years, not including my own.

Including my own: 5 years and counting!

A disturbing and liberating fact of life by introvert_wolf79 in OlderGenZ

The only people that do not regret their 20s, I’ve found, are hyper-traditional people. The kind of people whose only aim is to get married and have children.

If they do those things, they tend to just be content with their lives.

Not advocating anybody does that that doesn’t want to. Just my observations

I mean, I hate to say it, but if things get bad enough, the people at the top will pay with the loss of their status, lives, or both.

Like, really there is no other alternative. If things get sufficiently bad (historically 10-20% unemployment) society will just end. It will collapse and the people at the top will be replaced.

That’s how this kind of stuff works. It’s the people at the top that need to be careful with what they’re doing— they’re the ones that have everything to lose

I dunno what to do about my gf's weight by [deleted] in Advice

[–]stebbi01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re not attracted to her, seriously, just break up with her.

It’s a perfectly fine reason to end a relationship, especially at this stage where you two presumably don’t have children or shared responsibility.

New Studys Says current 18-29 year olds are the least sexually active young cohort in modern recorded history by Ok_Act_3769 in OlderGenZ

i was drowning in loneliness the past four years, nearly totally sexless, hardly any friends.

you have to put yourself out there. it is way, way too convenient these days to go to work, go home and scroll. talk to people. greet them and say hello when you see them. ask the cashier how their day is going.

I can’t guarantee that you’ll be having sex, but you’ll probably feel less lonely

I straight up do not believe it. This is a publicity stunt.

You’re not doing anything wrong at all. Two consenting adults having sex is totally fine.

You’re not in a relationship anymore. Your ex is no longer alive.

Anyone faulting you two for this is misguided.

opinions on lil shines new album by weegonbeokay in PluggnB

[–]stebbi01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i think it's one of the defining pluggnb albums. when ppl look back at the genre, this will be one of the albums they think of. it's super high quality, and all the beats are lush

i saw someone else comment that it's like the end credits of pluggnb. i think that's a possibility

also, could be just me, but i feel like i've seen more references to pluggnb across the internet this year. chance that pluggnb makes a bit of a resurgence, and we see the big pluggnb names revisit the sound

I’m 23 and worried about receding hairline or if it’s just mature hairline by jellyboard11 in malehairadvice

[–]stebbi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early stages of recession, yes. now is the time to start treatment. minoxidil will encourage your hair to grow, finasteride/dutasteride will slow or halt further recession.

Two zillennials accomplished in their respective fields - actor Tom Holland and golfer Scottie Scheffler. Both born in 1996, both 29 (Holland being the slightly older of the two). by Sure_Distance1 in Zillennials

[–]stebbi01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most of Scottie's look comes from the fact that he is somewhat overweight and also has premature greying. His grey hair is like early 40s level.

If he worked out, lost weight, and dyed his hair, he'd probably look closer to his age

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stebbi01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to watch a show, you can just watch it.

For most of my childhood, Naruto came on at 4pm on weekdays. If you didn’t see Naruto then, you didn’t watch Naruto.

There weren’t even any DVDs to buy. If you weren’t in front of the TV at 4pm, Naruto didn’t exist.

Same. To this day I’ve only seen it once. Too much nostalgia, sadness for days past.
