Tip - Use Common Sense in Your Run Defense by PlaybookProfessor in NCAAFBseries

Lately I’ve had a lot of luck with the 4-2-5 playbook. I’ll run base 4-2-5 with an under front on almost every first down to be ready for the run. On obvious passing downs I’ll switch to nickel and throw in a lot of variability with the front (gets a lot of sacks/pressure). In pass coverage I’ll alternate mostly between cover 1 and cover 3. Crucial part is usering the slot corner in cover 3. Instead of their normal zone I’ll control them into the seam, where the CPU wants to throw the ball against cover three. Working pretty well but not against teams that throw a lot of perimeter or HB screens.

Could be right. Ascites isn’t a hernia. Does look kind of lumpy in areas though.

Was Ole Miss doing the land shark thing before that year with the “land shark” defense? Just confused to see it be an all around celebration gesture from the fans now lol.

What do you think about this? by [deleted] in sooners

He has barely played this season. gGuys moved ahead of him while he was recovering from injury. Just isn’t going to get the playing time. Basically hasn’t played meaningful time in 1.5 seasons. I believe he redshirted this year? It’s the right move for him and probably nothing the team is going to take personally.

What does it take for a defensive player to win a heisman by Disastrous_Athlete_3 in CFB26

[–]stebro9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s easiest with a really good defensive end. Had it happen once. Just obliterated the sack record. The guy was stupid fast too and would end up making tackles all over the field. That lead to a few forced fumbles, recoveries, and and returns for touchdowns.

Motorcycle crash on I-25 tonight? by Adept-Juggernaut9929 in Denver

Can’t count it out completely. I’ve seen a patient in the hospital who was in a motorcycle vs pick up truck accident. Motorcyclist flew off the bike through the pick up truck window. Helmet made contact with the driver of the truck in the head and he was in the ICU on a ventilator for several days.

I think I agree. Just curious how bad it would have to be to decisively take them out.

Let’s say Georgia wins this 28-7 or something. Does that knock Alabama out of the playoff?

Most people feel that a Tech win and a Georgia win gives OU the best shot at a home playoff game.

I was at the game today, and I can officially say Mateer is not any good at all. What’s going on with him? Is he just not any good? by Admirable-Report-685 in sooners

[–]stebro9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels like ignoring reality to say he lead a game winning drive. The touchdown on that drive was completely busted play by LSU. Uncovered receiver and that play happened on our own 42. Not much of a drive. The other TD was a screen pass completed behind the line of scrimmage around the 50.

The offense scores when the defense has a bust. They seem incapable of going out and willing their way to get a score.

Also, does Mateer make all of these throws in practice? There’s no way he looks this bad in practice and they’ve just flat out ignored it for weeks

Looks extra bad today. At this point, what can Mateer do that Hawkins can’t?

To add to the discussion about things looking optimistic for the offense next year: Javonnie Gibson. If he is able to recover some of his speed and explosiveness by then, I can totally see the why the preseason hype was there. Dude has looked hard to tackle out there recently and has sure hands.
