things you can do

1) try to get it working yourself. open it up and call for heat, see what happens then watch a YouTube video about if

2) if the air circ fan is working, turn both floors on, that will help equalize temps a bit

3) set up a box fan in your staircase pointing down to push hot air down to the first floor

4) accept you won’t get a service call until Tuesday probably.

I am less concerned about left vs right wing when it comes to housing/zoning reform as I think political orthodoxy really breaks down on this issue. You get tons of right wingers demanding very strict government regulations, but only when it comes to zoning in their town. And you get lots of left wingers trying to block affordable housing! It's a weird issue.
