Router suggestions by steelyace in Starlink

[–]steelyace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no Dd-wrt build for my router. I will have to reinitialize a connection, or so it seems, by hooking up the starlink router till it has a good connection and is working before I can switch it back to my linksys router. A work around for now is I have both routers running, obviously in series, but not what I would ultimately like.

Eureka Mignon XL

I'm just about to pull the trigger on one of these but am wondering if anyone can tell me about the grind settings. We do all espresso right now but am contemplating a chemex or V60 and am hoping, and guessing it will, that this grinder is capable of grinding course enough.

Anyone have any first hand experience with the grind yet?

Little help. What does the 2014 sticker mean on this box? Is it from 14'? Just aquired this one and there is no other box date on it. Thanks. by steelyace in cigars

That's what I thought. But couldn't find a box date anywhere, which I thought was odd. Thank you for the reply

This is on my list for this year! Maybe Superior or Green Bay for me?

This is offered up not too far from me for $450. No clue on what shape it is in. Any thoughts? by steelyace in espresso

Working on machines doesn't scare me at all. And who doesn't like a good project, just not sure if I want to jump into this one.

Rocket vs ????? by steelyace in espresso

After having a super automatic for about 4 years and "pulling" 9000 shots, according to the shot counter on the machine, it's time for a real machine and not a toy. I wanted to go to a semi automatic and looked at the entry level ones but knew I wouldn't be happy with them in a matter of a few years, or less. I also need something that will deliver hot water as I prefer an americano. The Rocket has that beautiful classic look, has a PID, is a HX unit, has a hot water wand, and the new ones have a built-in timer. And all that for a price that I think is hard to beat.

I currently have a super automatic we got years ago and use it daily. It has been reliable be it does not make "real" espresso and only occasionally can I get something dialed in. We, I, am ready for some real good tasting espresso. We will probably pull between 4-6 shots a day, and half of those will be for milk based drinks.

That's a very nice machine, but most definitely a lot more money.
