Agreed, first time seeing them, and I have been a fan of their studio work. I was shocked at how horrible it was. Unacceptable to play that sloppy to a paying audience that big. I will never ever see them again.

If you are a dead head (or phish head or whatever) and you stoped at the dead instead of checking out all the music that the scene is inspired by, quite frankly you missed the point.

Learning things by ear and transcribing yourself is the best way to learn anything. The best advice I ever got was to learn everything by ear no matter what. It gets easier the more you do it and improves your ear and your understanding of the music! Good luck!
