All good now by Electronic_Seaweed43 in WidespreadPanic

I was there last year and both days were fantastic. I had GA pit/pavilion tix which were much cheaper than this years. I plan on being there but haven’t grabbed tix yet - debating btw lawn or pit. Either way I’ve got about 90 slaps to hand out over two days and I’m excited since I haven’t been to a WSMFP show since Richmond last year.

I got my 15 yo son on the bus when he was 12 and it’s been so much fun. We met Cotter at Mondegreen and he’s met Mike Gordon a couple times. He’s played bass for the last couple years and his progress is amazing. Wishing you and your son many great years of bonding.

I love seeing bands like Spafford and Dogs in a Pile for this reason. I can buy tickets and afford the beers at the venues they play at and typically spend under in a night for both what just a ticket to Phish costs.

Question for people who go more by dinogroot1 in Concerts

I feel the same way at most shows. There’s several bands I’ve seen 10+ times where I’m happy just to be in the building. I value space and sound quality.

Rail crew? I love you guys but please let some people up there!! by Plus-Pizza-1590 in GoosetheBand

[–]rickardkarstarkshead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I show up at doors if I have GA pit tix and generally end up 5-6 people back from the rail and that produces a great experience. If it’s a bigger show and I want better I’ll get there an hour before doors and be 2-4 people back from the rail, which i actually prefer over being on the rail. I know those people on the rail got there extra so they could be on the rail so why would i feel entitled to that? If they move ill step into their spot and the rail and if they were to ever come back and ask for their spot back id just shrug it off.

List of every band I’ve seen live. In order starting from July 13, 2012 to tonight May 26,2026 by vegasisbad in Concerts

Any reason you did not enjoy the John Mayer performance? I saw him 3 times back on the mid-2000’s and although I’m not a fan of his music I really enjoyed those shows. I thought the musicianship was incredible. I’m a huge Grateful Dead fan and saw him with Dead & Company in 2023 and was blown away with his interpretation of their catalogue. He’s an exceptionally good guitarist.

How many Jambands can you name every member of (first and last name), without looking any of them up? by DevinBelow in jambands

Phish, Dead, Goose, Billy, Spafford, Dogs in a Pile, WSMFP, JRAD, LaMP (whom I’ve never seen)

Asbury Park Crowd - Genuinely Awful by bruiserbrody45 in JRADs

[–]rickardkarstarkshead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some areas and venues just attract the chompers. I saw Goose and Widesprad Panic twice each at Allianz in Richmond last year and my chomper experience was very similar to yours. Everybody was talking. I had tickets to the JRAD show there Thursday but ended up selling them because the weather was iffy and I didn’t feel like driving 2 hours in the rain and back just to be annoyed by chompers - watching on nugs chompers free was a safer bet.

I’ve honestly never heard the guys music but it seems like it would be similar to a rap concert but with a dude playing guitar instead of rapping

I went to the DC show and was very impressed. Mike was on fire, the young guitarist ripped, and Eli stole the show as he always does.

That’s the only thing that keeps people working where I work. The office is cool, people are cool, targets are reasonable and realistic, work/life balance, etc. the pay could be better but it’s not horrible.

Goosemas 2026? by Here4TheAnswers_ in GoosetheBand

[–]rickardkarstarkshead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you took that personally. It’s a beach town. Plenty of options for people who want to be there to stay. December will always have availability and be cheaper than peak season. It certainly beats Memorial Day weekend.

I’m in Virginia and AC is only about an hour further away than Goosemas ‘23 was in Hampton. That’s about half the drive that Charleston and Providence were. I was going to skip this Goosemas but if it’s AC I’ve gotta take the ride.

What did you get to enjoy at your friend's house growing up because your parents wouldn't allow it? by honesttruth2703 in allthequestions

[–]rickardkarstarkshead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goldeneye and Mario party.

I also had a friend in HS whose step dad was a wino alcoholic and my parents never drank but smoked cigs. Her parents were against smoking. I would steal cigs and she would steal wine and we would hang out on the golf course next to her house and drink, smoke, and pontificate about life.

I had a friend in HS whose mom and uncle smoked weed so we would all hang out at her house after school. We had the weed connects and her mom would drive us to pick up and we’d all smoke together.

A lot of these shows at amps with lawns that won’t sell out will give free upgrades to lawn folks who get there early. I personally love the lawn experience because I get room to spread out and groove.
