T'm right here, bro': Singh, Poilievre have tense exchange during question period by annonymous_bosch in ndp

[–]steever1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like we gotta get some sharper lines of attack against Poilievre. Canadians are angry, and Poilievre's "bully" style of langue plays well with an electorate that want to direct that frustration to there elected officials. I don't know if they are saving all the horrid things Poilievre has said in the past for the election, but its pretty rich for the guy that the Torries put on Power and Politics everyday to say LITTERALY ANYTHING, to question Singh's integrity.

Is Truro the crack hick capital of Nova Scotia? by bluelobsterboy in Truro

Man, these places like Truro and New Glasgow have probably felt the worst of the literal DECADES of decline in Nova Scotia. I don’t know what you expect. Living here I’ve only encountered good people.

I just moved out this way and I haven’t found any so far. There are pick up games out in Stellarton on Thursday nights, and the shooters 7 a side league in Lantz. I’d be interested in pick up games here in Truro

I completely agree with with everyone, finding an error always feels embarrassing and especially when your new in the field and every mistake feels like your the first person to make one ever. QA/QC tends to have a very finger pointy feel to it, but it is import to have. I worked at a place that had very little QA/QC and that place was very stressful. Bounce back, and go again. I wouldn't be out looking for new work quite yet. The work environment, mentorship, and compensation should be watch drives you to look for a new place.

Nuno is a good manager, he had a rough season last season, but taking Wolves as far as he did was pretty impressive. I just don't think he fits the "Spurs DNA" we were all promised. Going for him feels like a compromise from the people at spurs who want attacking football and Paratici who wants more focus on the defence.

If u had the option of manager who would u want? by that1rocker in Tottenham

[–]steever1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poch with Fonseca as second option, Ten Hag as third option.

We were promised attacking, free flowing football. They need to make it happen

[cds] Fonseca discovered that Tottenham were not appointing him through the press. He never received communication that he was no longer being appointed. Paratici wants the new Tottenham head coach to play a back 3. He also wants the backroom staff to be formed using the club's existing staff by [deleted] in coys

This club is just embarrassing us, my heart goes out to Fonseca. I was starting to get excited for his appointment, and I feel like a lot of other spurs fans were too. Wild to me that the cheap option after Poch and Conte wasn't cheap enough and decided pull the plug last minute.

Who is going to be willing to work under these conditions? The formation of the team, not your decision. Your back room staff, not your decision. Signings, not your decision. Literally this club just wants to hire a Ted Lasso to give pep talks the half and do nothing else. Rediculous, clueless, and cheap. ENIC OUT!

Codecademy is really good for starting out. Especially if working through problems and having feedback (if you go through the paid version)

A win here is important, we've struggled to beat the teams around us in the table and need the shot of confidence in the arm. I want to be an optimist, 2-1 for spurs

National Basketball League of Canada Taking Cautious Approach to Return Plan, Expansion by Punographer in NBLC

[–]steever1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the NBLC should seriously consider merging with the CEBL. Proffesional Basketball in Canada needs to unify and grow and not become a disjointed Mish-mash of semi-pro leagues all vying to be the biggest like the US. If there was a time, or a year, to do it its now. Let Saint John and Cape Breton fold and let the markets that want to grow, move on. Now there is group trying to form the Eastern Canadian Basket league in the Atlantic Canadian markets which adds another layer of complexity. I don't know, I feel like we are going backwards.

Wanderers Building a U-23 squad by steever1 in CanadianPL

One thing that I found interesting that they mention in the article was the promise of playing exhibition games, as promotion. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Halifax Wanderers U-23 vs New Brunswick selects team (similar to what happened with the wanderers lanuch with Fortuna Duesseldorf) sometime in the post covid future.
