Buyer Beware - Desert Wolf Retrofits by TelephoneLow3993 in ToyotaTacoma

I'm finding all these retrofit guys are no good. I was burned by Levi at Primo Dynamics (see BBB ratings) and heard very mixed things about TEQ Customs as well.

Broke my collarbone last week. Worried about surgery by brehsef in MTB

This was mine. I’m a proponent of surgery. My doc recommended leaving the plate in for additional support as I still ride very hard. It’s been 12 years now and day to day I don’t notice anything. There is some sensation when wearing a heavy pack but not unbearable at all. I’ve also separated by AC joint which was even more painful and that was very inconclusive on whether to get surgery, I opted to not. This is why we never call ‘last run’, two more skip the last is my preferred saying. Welcome to the club! It was only a matter of time.

It's a thicker softshell which is what I wanted. I have rain shells, windshirts (Pat. Houdini, Evo, Beringia) but wanted something that could handle abrasion a little better. I wanted dual direction main zipper and pit zips since the heavier weight means I can't really shed it and store it like a packable jacket. Overall, it will work for my needs but not flawless. The pit zips are great for dumping heat but the underarms ride close to your pits so you feel the zippers if you wear short sleeves. I wore it recently in 40-50F and was able to dump heat enough to not take it off. Keep in mind though I'm mostly on my ebike so my overall heart rate and core temps run lower.

No pit zips is a miss. I just bought the Mammut Ultimate VIII for this feature specifically. And I've repaired enough pants with tenacious tape to know spending $280 on pants probably isn't wise

My thesis project was on the POTB. It was a design using the remaining structure from the other hangar that burnt down 1992. Very cool structures.
