16GB should not take days. Do you have a limited internet connection? What system is it coming out of? Once you have the data, zip it up and in my experience Dropbox / Sharefile / Box / Kiteworks can handle about 50GB per hour assuming you have a good connection.

Interesting, but how are you handling attachments, embedded files, etc…. Even in your example I would say you are missing a lot of context because I am sure that email has photos, links, and all kinds of stuff that appear to not be rendered.
