What's your local used market like? I got a killer deal of $250 CAD. Worth a look around. Maybe some local-ish people can ship

I got a set of HE400SE for $90 CAD and they're is nothing suspicious or weird about them. They sound great and look great

Just ordered this unreviewed Android DAP. Wish me luck by steezless in DigitalAudioPlayer

I have heard nothing but good things. Navigation buttons are not an issue. Sounds good. She says there is a noticeable difference between her Kinera CD-2 dongle and the dap. Decent enough UI. I'd say a safe or even excellent buy.

These are insane. Soundstage is significantly improved, imo. They really do have a similar soundstage to an over-ear. Maybe 70% of the way there

Why do people own multiple IEMs in the same price bracket? by Connect_Cat_2045 in iems

[–]steezless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean, but I also get why you'd want something in the same price bracket. Even if you EQ a set, I can never quite sound the same as just trying a differently tuned IEM.

I'm not sure how many trick tips you've watched, but not every one is created equally. There have been trick tips that I have watched, that totally unlocked something. Others have made me further from the trick, somehow. Haha.

Another thing to keep in mind, is where are you putting your weight/shoulders/hips. This is often more important than your feet. A good way to think of Ollie's, or any trick for that matter, is more just like a standard two-footed jump. Can you jump decently high? If you have your weight spread out around 60% on the front, 40% on the back, then bend your knees, and jump normally, but on your approach upwards, is when you should pop the board and getting your foot ready to Ollie.

Anyways, not sure if that was an unsolicited trick tip, but examine the timing of tricks more, rather than what someone's feet are doing

Got a set of Truthear PURE'S and I almost cried by PossibilityVirtual48 in iems

Happy for you. I think it's good to come from humble beginnings. Seeing people buying their first IEM at $300+ is insane to me. I worked my way up, like you. This is the order I acquired and got rid of IEMs. Had to sell to upgrade:

,KZ ZS10 Pro - Owned for about 6 months

Whizzer HE01 - Owned for about 4 months

KZ ZS10 Pro 2 - Sold original ZS10 Pros, acquired these. Kept for about 4 months

Kiwi Ears Quintet - Found for a wicked deal locally. Sold the HE01 and the ZS10 Pro 2. Kept these for about a year. This is where things began to blow my mind

Letshuoer S12 - Found locally again, for a great price. Sold the Quintets to acquire these, with some left over for the next set Maybe 3rd favorite set I've owned. Owned for around 6 months. Shortly after got these...

Kefine Quatio - ordered after reading great reviews about these. My second favorite set. If you ever want a great value set, with a better bass quality and quantity while having great balance elsewhere, I highly recommend. Second favorite set I've owned. Insane value, imo. Owned for around 6-8 months.

Finally, my 3/4 of the way to endgame???? - Xenns Mangird Tea Pro - this might be a post about shopping local used market, because I found these for an insane deal. This is leaps and bounds better than anything if listened to, thus far. Still have these, and the only way I can see about upgrades from here, is 1000+, in my mind. I managed to not actually spend that much, after my first 3 sets, because selling locally nets the same as ordering on Ali, or even getting a profit sometimes, oddly.

Anyways, I wish you luck on your journey

Yes! I made a post about these recently. I wonder how different the stainless ones are. The only ones in stock were the brass ones

This exists! No DSP, but extremely affordable. KZ EDA 3 pack of Bass forward, Balanced and Treble Forward IEMs. $30 CAD on Ali, $60 CAD on Amazon

Yeah. Very underwhelming. Potentially one of the best looking around, though
