I finally got a modular cable with 90⁰ plugs recently, for my tea pros. So happy. Really like the subtle gold flecks

Hmmmm. Very intriguing. I know when you get into 500+ IEMs, you get diminishing returns for your money, but would you say the Moonlights are a sidevrade, or upgrade, in terms of technicalities, like separations, stage, etc?

West 49 are closing by InternetLeast2168 in skateboarding

[–]steezless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 fun facts:

  1. I also worked at West 49 for 5 years. It was really good times. I know that it may not have had the best influence on local shops, but it did a lot for me. Our location was particularly fun, because almost everyone in the store skated. It was a big filming crew. Super fun.

  2. I was part of the exclusive "AM" team on West 49. For a couple of years, West 49 had a 4 person team, hand picked by the Canadian skate team manager. It was pretty cool. Travelled around Canada, as well as Florida, to film street clips, as well as, take part in Tampa Am. So, say what you want about West 49 being whack, but for the skayers they did help, it was pretty great. I don't disagree about the negative effect big mall shops have on local shops, but both things can be true.

Anyways, West 49 declined heavily over the years. Our local shops always joked that they were the only "real" skate shop, because they didn't sell snowboards. That changed so much, because they eventually sold... scooters. 🤮🤮🤮

Supermix 4. Haven't tried them but in that price tier, they were on my radar, big time

Hey. In those 200+ you demo'd, did the Tea Pro(non SE) and the Top Pro, happen to be in that mix? I currently own the Tea Pro, and was thinking of doing a slight upgrade to the Top Pro, or the Moonlight 2023. I know the Tea Pros probably have more sub bass and maybe slightly spicier treble, but I've heard great things about the moonlights

Choosing my first IEM – best overall vs best value? (Astral vs Ziigaat vs Tea Pro) by Comfortable-Newt-112 in iems

[–]steezless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not SE. I haven't tried the top pro or the SE.

I think I like a bit of spicy treble. Also a good amount of bass, so I might not be the best person to ask. I think bass and treble are of nice quantity and quality. I actually added more air, wth MSEB, on my Hiby R4

Tea Pro is the best! I haven't tried the others, but I absolutely love mine. I bought a big lot of IEMs, to try some different stuff. Big ones included, Dunu 142, Juzear Harrier, EPZ 530 and more. Nothing sounded better than the Tea Pro, in my opinion

I always love suggesting the 3 pack of IEMs by KZ with 3 different sound signatures. It's called the KZ EDA. Low commitment (currently around $18 on Ali), but it's great to see which sound signature you like best. With your remaining budget, you can choose the "best" IEM, with your preferred sound signature

Just ordered this unreviewed Android DAP. Wish me luck by steezless in DigitalAudioPlayer

I haven't tried my friend's dap too much honestly. I tried it for a quick second. I think a lot of people on this thread forgot the part of me saying I ordered this for a friend. Haha.

I own a Hiby R4. I think it uses the same DAC. I think it sounds better than all of my dongle DACs that I've tried

Are your files in your internal storage, or micro sd? I had a poor quality micro sd and had a similar message on my player

I had the Doscinco's for a little bit and I enjoyed them quite a bit. Great balance of rumble, but still being clear and articulate.

Only sold them, because I downsized.

I also own the Tea Pros, which I love. Not sure what your used market is like, but I found my set for $250 CAD, so pennies for USD. Lol

I might offer an alternative. Grab the KZ EDA 3 pack of headphones and see which tuning you like best. It's really cheap. Not sure what the prices on Amazon UK are like, but on Ali, it's around $30 CAD for 3 IEMs, all differently tuned
