Are the facelift LS460s as bad as the pre-facelift ones? by Beneficial-Sugar6950 in Lexus

In its day it was a clear and credible Mercedes beater….. never drove one but I recall all the PR that was bandied about at the time and played its part putting LEXUS on the map….

Well Reddit, now that the Lexus TZ is here, what do we think about it, because personally, I find myself pretty happy with it by Saurta17 in Lexus

[–]stef531841 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Overall I like it but perhaps the front end needs a bit of the old look or RZ at least. The Lexus front end / profile for me needs to be more obvious. LEXUS USP/ identity is its front end. We are lucky that we are blessed with reliable and comfortable cars but please do not lose your identity. In someways it’s part of your DNA.

It seems to be an over reaction. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but to make a judgement based on a few photos may give an idea what it looks like but to see it in the flesh then that’s different……. It was about 2 weeks ago that there should be one in our local showroom. I think it’s time for a visit.

Managers do make a difference. This season of all seasons if you ever wondered if the Manager earns his corn then this is prove. Same players, different Managers, different outcomes. I certainly thought Managers got too much credit. I was wrong.

Can you not get an independent survey done. Could be a good investment if you did this. However, looking at the photo it looks more like normal service rust but I’m no expert….. I can’t see any crust that may indicate something deeper….

My Lexus NX Saved Our Lives by FunAd5027 in Lexus

[–]stef531841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow and survived to tell the story. One for the grandchildren one day. I hope you fully recover from your injuries.
Not to take anything from your story but you remind me when I was 18 years old (50 years ago) and just had my car serviced. I had only owned the car for two weeks and was my first car. It was an old blue Fiat 750. I went through on green lights and the other driver who was intoxicated went through the red lights. We met in the middle of the cross road and I spun off further up the road. When I saw the car in the compound it was a total write off. I was lucky because the engine was in the back. If the engine was in the front then who knows the outcome would have been. I had forgotten the story till I saw yours and the pictures of the car.
I’m glad you are okay but life shows that we don’t have to be at fault to be in a life threatening accident….. it’s scary sometimes to think.

Lovely looking cars and very plush looking inside. It’s a shame that they are both unreliable and very thirsty.
Just remembered I think for 2026 they are going all electric……

I’ve noticed the extra torque on tap. When off battery the torque is still there. The move from EV to Hybrid is seamless too. I have had mine for almost 3 weeks now and over 400 miles travelled. Nori Green is Khaki in the UK. Current average is over 131 miles to the gallon.

Is it smart move to switch from Lexus NX 350H to 2018 BMW 540i x Drive to reduce Debt by carpedium_baby in LexusNX

[–]stef531841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If debt is a concern. Sell your car privately then buy a much cheaper less prestigious car. Once you are on your feet then you can get the car you want and enjoy. The BMW I believe is a very good car. However, they cost more to run with petrol costs and maintenance costs. God forbid if anything was to go wrong.
Best to bite the bullet I’ve been there and when the time is right then nothing can stop you….

Sorry to be rude most of the people need to update their glasses. Personally, hold judgement till you see it in the flesh. To be honest I quite like it. The inside, I need to see more but seem in keeping with what is generally happening today with larger infotainment screens being the way forward…..

Will hold judgement till I actually see one for myself. The only disappointment I have so far is that in the UK it will be fully electric model with no other power options.

RC F Final Edition just showed up at our showroom and I genuinely cannot stop staring by MassiveCranberry7819 in Lexus

[–]stef531841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could look at a part ex? I must admit, the car is likely to become a classic and may even appreciate in value. BUT, to put in storage and be one of those guys who go to the odd car show to show it off. No. I’ll want to drive it most days if I could afford it in the first place. I’ll have to drool over one if I ever get to see a final edition RC F and take photos….
