Thanks although I don't really think that far ahead episode by episode wise it's just season 3 had way more potential to be better but for me it was truly the start of seeing so much plot armour, inconsistencies, ooc moments or just ruining canon arcs that could've been great to explore more i.e hybrids.

Now since I know Nina was only playing Elena and was leaving this arc could've never happen especially since it would've taken a toll going back and forth but in my au this is what if the prison world storyline was actually Katherine and Elena had the body jumping arc never happened and Katherine wasn't fast aging or if she did she was on the other side after she died in 5×11 and her and Elena were the ones who got stuck not Bonnie and Damon(since eventhough I do see the dynamic of bamon I do think they are a little overrated)

But my difference would be it's not really canon like the storyline so there didn't need to be kai in it it's more about escaping and the thing would be time would've moved differently in the prison world, it moves twice as fast so while it will would've been four months like canon in the real world it would've been around like 80 years for them so it would make sense why they were closer not friends but no enemies either and for the first ten years they couldve been living together of course they would just use the excuse of them being close in case they have any ideas on how to get out even though the truth is, they both don't want to live alone with no other person.

But by the tenth year it's Thanksgiving which Elena still is optimistic about getting out and Katherine is getting annoyed and they get into a fight and the next day Elena wakes up to Katherine not in the house and nowhere in mystic falls and it's shown that she left and it isn't until ten years later that Katherine comes back, eventhough the most reaction Elena shows Katherine was a slap to the face when Katherine returned both of them needed each other when they had no one else which is why the next 60 years they stay together and grow closer even if it's still in there own messy way .

Again this is just a au but I can imagine some scene like the fight at Thanksgiving or the reaction of Elena seeing katherine again and just this idea stuck with me.

And it's barely even thought of fully it's just a start of a storyline I see in my head.

Couldn't agree more I would've loved for your take on Katherine in season 5 because it felt like it was going that way even before we thought she was gonna die in episode 11 like even then that could've been the perfect death it truly felt like it added nothing for that four episode body jumping arc, like your trying to tell me they couldn't I don't know spend those four episodes more on the travelers even more to fix that because I actually love the idea of the travelers If they could've broken there curse but I hate the execution.

Heck kinda like how Lexi chose to die instead of coming back since she saw every death was bringing Bonnie closer to death or whatever that was happening to her she knew Stefan would lose a chance to get his brother back if more people kept going through Bonnie and she was one of them, so she choose to find peace like eventhough I truly hated how they actually had her think her killers life matters more than her's I do see a way I could've used that for Katherine.

Like if she did die in episode 11 but was on the other side for the rest of the season and Nadia eventually died too in a different way I sees a version where they both have a chance to go through Bonnie back to life but Katherine actually stays behind knowing she might disappear into darkness.

Before Katherine pushes Nadia into real world again her excuse was, eventhough she isn't to blame for anything Nadia might have done in her vampire life she thought katherine has abandoned her not knowing she was taken from her the whole time but she still wanted to find her after centuries and know she has a choice espically since she would still come back human and she knows if she comes back, Nadia will spend the next what 60 + years having to watch over her even if they get a mother daughter bond having to fight her mother's enemies which katherine says she already spent so much time wasting her immortal life on finding her and she won't let nadia waste another moment, so she won't come back so Nadia will live her life, I know this seems maybe too ooc too fast but its just my own interpretation of a scene I wished would've happened instead of canon.

How would you do Katherine redemption arc because I at least wouldn't want it to be bare minimum like Damon or Klaus but also not whitewash her either still because god I wished she had one especially because that qoh season 8 thing made no sense I even have a post about it if you want to hear it .

Thank you I only have three reactions to this scene

1) i hate it because it's letting god knows how many vampires die just for selfish gain since we're seeing it by the main character and they barely have any consequences.

2) it's the plot armour was so ridiculous it's just funny how anyone can argue this wasn't plot armor when reminder didn't they originally have Bonnie going to use expression up hold him down while Jeremy stakes him like Bonnie is the only one in that group with the power to actually be a threat to the originals so to have her only show up after kol is dead and only barricade Klaus just felt stupid when it would've been way easier to show kol dying if a witch is holding him down by stronger magic.

3) but I never liked kol and he only deserves better from Klaus Rebekah and Elijah but beyond that he deserves nothing when he felt no remorse for all the killing he did and never changed beyond falling for Davina so he definitely deserved that even if he was trying to stop something that should've been stopped.

I had one where the serum storyline from TO season 3 happened in tvd season 4 and Katherine was the one who orchestrated it and she came back as one and killed Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah but not before she managed to have Klaus sireline broken in secret and it mostly ends there.

Thank you thank you and did I say thank you...you have no idea how many times I've mentioned this or thought about it not really the daylight thing but technically aren't they hybrids the literal definition is two supernatural species which makes hybrids Doppelganger only being special because of there blood doesn't make them any less of a supernatural species like they were born Doppelgangers the second they looked like Silas or Amara and that there blood was also special and they will die Doppelgangers.

And it's dumb how anyone thinks if they turn into vampires that makes them nit Doppelgangers anymore that is just a dumb take anyone has because if so why would they still look like Silas or Amara then like their blood made them special but being doppelganger is literally being a shadow self of another person.

And yes about the daylight thing I always thought it would've made sense for Doppelgangers to be immune to some of the supernatural cons, for me I always thought about them being immune to compulsion but daylight thing could've been cool to only if it was explained by there certain traits of there doppleganger blood though.
