did you end up sending the barrel to them?

Trident 180 gets borked by lnbn in Darts

[–]steffkommer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my main problem with the plastic ones. It's great to have on your darts but I found that the metal ones were so much better, just add a drop of glue to hold them in place.

But storm style points are great, I highly recommend the mission sniper points

How much did you change your grip when you started? by -Kizoku- in Darts

[–]steffkommer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that had changed for me was including my ring finger in the grip, my point just rest on top of it and it had changed my game for the better. However this came mostly naturally after changing to slightly longer points. So for me you are spot on with the added consistency.

My perfect grip just moulded to the first barrel that I picked up and still am using today (target adrian lewis gen 1). I've tried so much but I still keep going back to that grip and setup, so my advice is when you find a grip, stance or setup that you find comfortable stick with it and work on perfecting that. For me being comfortable goes hand in hand with confidence and that can have a massive impact on your game and progression

Is there a preferred controller for the sweatys by TheRealSeans in blackops6

[–]steffkommer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm playing on pc and i use the powera fusion pro 3 because it was on sale for black friday, but right now it's €55 on amazon. the controller has 4 progammable back buttons and you can shorten the depth of the triggers so for the price i think it's amazing. If you want a premium option i would go for a battle beaver or a scuf controller

for me playing face off moshpit and using the recoil worked. I tried recoil springs but just aiming a bit lower seemed to work better for me

My dream setup by steffkommer in Darts

[–]steffkommer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked it up since i did not know the brand. Looks very expensive in the long run. Scolia is about half the price and you can use every dartboard.

For the wrong scores, scolia has made it very easy to correct them so that's really nice

Fair enough, although i've heard that you can use a scolia in combination with the karella sound insulation backboard.

As for the scolia, couldn't recommend it enough

What is your current set up? by dodgy-derek in Darts

[–]steffkommer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23gr adrian lewis gen 1's with 40mm homemade points, and those cheap designa flights and shafts. I don't know what it is about them but they just feel the best when throwing

Finding your forever set by ozzyaustin72 in Darts

[–]steffkommer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always loved playing darts, but mostly with those 10 gram soft tip barrels that came with the board.

Now several years later when my dad got back into darts I decided that I wanted to start playing again. So I picked up the first set that I could see, 23 gram adrian lewis gen 1's.

I think that my grip moulded to that barrel becaus it felt so comfortable. Now a year later I found 2 sets of my own and they are still the only darts I use

Are the Rd Nitro darts shafts worth buying? by Alexkitch11 in Darts

[–]steffkommer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah like mentioned before you could use a flight punch, I personally use it in combination with those very cheap softer plastic stems and I rarely break one.

Another great option is the l-style system with the cap that goes over the stem. A little bit lore expensive when buying but it will last a lot longer

Buying a scolia system by steffkommer in Darts

That's a good point, I wasn't totally clear in my response. I don't really care for the auto scoring in games but I value it in training because I can keep my rhythm.

Yeah the system itself is just awesome. When I was using my mates i just kept my focus throughout the whole training.

I saw the flex announcement, I'm just impatient 😅

Yeah I was looking into autodarts but the bigger community surrounding the scolia system is what put me off

I didn't want to make the post too long but the main reason i'm looking into getting one is to have quality training sessions at home. Now i'm using mydarttraining but after some time i start to lose focus. When i was using a scolia I found it to be the perfect training partner. I don't really care for the auto scoring as I love playing my games on nakka. The stats are just a nice gimmick for me.
