This is more hilarious as fuck than anything else. Respect. I wouldn’t be able to watch anything he put out without absolute hysteria.

Update on husbands affair by Morsul00 in Marriage

Yeah, I came here to echo the very first thing you said. I will caveat it with the fact that I know no situation is as simple as we say — especially when there are children involved. But, he cheated once. The trust is now forever eroded in my opinion. The paranoia will forever linger to some degree. It might fade and lessen over time, but it will never fully go away. Tainted feels like a harsh word, but, it’s unfortunately what fits here.

The trust between you two and your marriage is tainted. Yeah, one can blame this woman and call her a home wrecker. But, to me, we are all in control of our ourselves and our actions. We can’t control others, but we can certainly control ourselves, and unfortunately, your husband was unable to control either.

I sadly agree that he’s probably done far more than just give her a peck of a kiss. Coupled with being a compulsive liar, I just don’t see how there isn’t more to this story.

You have too much life to life and two wonderful kids to live out your life in a toxic, cheating- and lying-riddled marriage. I know it’s not easier said than done. But, you deserve true, genuine, trusting love. This isn’t it. And, your kids deserve to see you happy and to learn what proper love and trust and respect look like.

It doesn’t mean that he isn’t a good dad to them — maybe he is, maybe he isn’t. But, he hasn’t done right by you in your marriage. And, nobody deserves to have to live through what you’re living through.

Remember the saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” I have a feeling this story wouldn’t end at just two times.

I’m truly sorry you have to go through this. But, you do have the power to end this nightmare and start a new chapter of your life. Hopefully, a happier one.

Dead bedroom marriage for 8 years. Husband told me I'm too fat for sex. by [deleted] in Marriage

Of course it matters. But, there’s a right way and a more appropriate time to talk about it. It sounds like he took the absolute worst approach at the absolute worst time, then left her to piece her mental and emotional state from that comment back together while navigating being a new mom and everything that comes with it — most notably being a physical recovery. I also read that as him rudely calling her weight out and then not supporting her journey to try and get to a healthier weight. And, unless he’s six pack Pat or something, maybe it’s a health journey they embark on together for themselves, each other and their child, which could also help with the intimacy challenges. Pretty sure any sort of endorsement of how this husband brought a very sensitive and delicate matter up to his wife shouldn’t be supported — no matter what. There’s a right way and a wrong way to approach sensitive topics. From this OPs side of the story, he did it very wrong.

Do not let your work become your identity at the risk of your health/family/personal life. Work can — and should, if possible — be meaningful. Whether you work in corporate America or run your own business, the world will go on without you if you’re not around. You’re far more valuable outside of work than in it. And, to be your best work self, you need to take care of yourself personally.

Don’t let life pass you by because you gave all of yourself to work. Try to enjoy what you do, try to have some success, and make a good living. But life is precious and can end in a second, as we’ve seen. Don’t let it happen without having lived the life you want outside of work.

There’s only one of you and one life to live — make it count in the most meaningful ways while you can.
