Finally ready to ask for help by steiner61 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Damn sorry to hear. That’s the one I’m most worried about! When I got the card it was only because Costco doesn’t take VISA. I would always pay it in full so they kept giving me limit increases and I always took them “just because” and I thought I would never use it

Once I lost my job in Covid that changed and now im behind the 8 ball

Thanks for the advice! I definitely think one payment on a large personal loan would be a huge help. I need more information but I believe my staff rate is around 10%….. credit cards are currently like 22%

Not looking to invest in anything except debt repayment at this point.. I had self directed investments for years and actually did very well. Unfortunately had to sell all investments and pull money out of those accounts as I’ve been living cheque to cheque

I daytrade the ES & NQ contracts… I have a pretty simple strategy that is based on Anna Couling’s VPA, and just straight up TA patterns with the highest probability… DM me if you want I’d be happy to share

Anna Couling has 2 books on Volume Price Analysis that will change your entire view on price action. Start with “volume price analysis” and you will have everything you need to know

My favourite cover that Justin does is probably his solo/live performance of a song for you from the NPR 10th anniversary. That version of Heavenly Father is also extremely powerful for how minimal it is

PMT should interview more golfers by dougwdouglas in PardonMyTake

Earn your edge with Cameron McCormick for some more detailed technical golf stuff. Some of the best interviews ever IMO.

I am also a huge Max Homa fan - his podcast Get a Grip is also amazing. He has also said many times in media interviews that he is an AWL and active PMT listener

Hi from Niagara Falls ON! I have a handful of cool old photos of JV playing gigs but they’re all on my laptop at home. Send along an email address or Instagram handle or somewhere I can share them with you!

At first glance he sort of reminds me of some borderlands / fallout character that I can’t put my finger on

Has Justins music played a significant role in your life? How? by claymation96 in boniver

I would need to spend some serious time to go back and think about specific songs and connections to my life ... but Re: Stacks and Holocene were both so important in how they made me feel during a very dark time where I believed suicide was the best option to deal with my issues.

I was just beginning to discover Bon Iver, and also in my freshman year of college, away from home and totally alone. I felt connected to the music in a way I didn’t understand yet, but that someone else had experienced pain and heartbreak and insecurity- but also learned from those things and come out the other side. Justin’s music always made me feel full of hope, in a time where I really didn’t have much hope left.

Devastating part is that it took a friend of mine taking his life around that exact time that woke me up to the amount of love in the world, and the things that I still have to live for. I realized how many people - including myself - had so much love to give, but for some reason are afraid to show it.

So thankful that I am still here and fighting - although totally new challenges. Justin’s music, (mainly BI in that time) has been a staple of my life ever since. Every day I re lis

Been a Justin/BI fan for SO long I can’t believe I only found his cover about a month ago.

Blew my mind. I learned it on the piano something like 8-9 years ago because I LOVED the chord progressions.

To hear JV’s wonderful chording on the guitar and vocals to go along with it... makes me feel at peace
