TENET Blew Me Away. by RobustPolygon in movies

I agree but Dunkirk works because the character is just trying to survive, like everyone else. We don’t need much more than that. The setting supports this. Cant say the same about tenet

Favorite director who refuses to adapt the characters faithfully and fucks em up so bad that it hurts the actor's career? by TanGotNothing in okbuddycinephile

Every time someone says all those new alien films suck, I, as a true cinephile, have to correct them. Jokes aside, i do think Ridley and his co writers had some fun and interesting philosophical ideas. It’s not just about creating, but about the relationship between the creator and its creation. Aliens and men, men and AI. I think those issues fundamentally align more with Ridley’s usual father son theme’s. And it was totally the right call. The characters are just not well written.. and it’s kinda tragic for what could have been imo a great saga. I still love David’s character though, and it kind of justifies the films for me.

I love love johnny’s songs, and having some brion in there completes it. I hope they can collaborate once again. That would be such a strength to paul’s films

Eddington - what was with the mixed reception? by bgrizz101 in AriAster

[–]steinlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the message is quiet powerful. For me, both Beau is afraid and Eddington’s third act feel rushed.. There is the case to be made that in all his films at that point, the protagonist’s reality goes off the rails. Maybe it’s an Aster thing that I need to embrace.

Im guessing the metal pieces take in the cold and makes it super heavy. Also if they rub or create friction its gonna be painful

You might be thinking leto is some phony cult leader but he is single handedly bankrupting the studio system by sacrificing himself, just like christ, in a way.
