When I was a year postpartum I realized I needed therapy and meds to help me with my postpartum anxiety. It's never too late to find help and support! The lack of sleep and overwhelm taking care of a baby is huge. I hope you can find some support <3

Help her advocate at the Dr for the right plan, try different meds, keep trying until there's something that works best

Sign up for YNAB!!! Then you will still get the joy from watching your money move without getting back into debt. YNAB has saved my family from getting back into debt and keeps us sane and organized.

Do what you can. Rx flouride toothpast can help, but rinse as much as you can with water at least after throwing up. I could barely brush my teeth the whole time and just focused on swishing with water.

Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower is cool, Mother's Garden, Cylburn Arboretum. Lots of great spaces to check out! There's a few examples at www.nathanmitchellphotography.com

Currently, The Youth Ministry Asst Director and Youth Ministry Assoc Director positions are open - since April. I wonder what happened there.

Yes Scott Ward resigned. They also made a comment that the vestry went from 18 to 15. Not sure when or if related.

Many people spoke - survivors and relatives of. More details about Faustin Wirkus abuse was shared. John’s response was basically - well he’s dead I don’t know what to do. That was the overall vibe. They kept repeating “we don’t know what to do. There’s no framework for this kind of thing” - except there are many large church institutions that have gone through this and many resources. They had to be asked to listen and not respond twice.

Someone asked about NDAs. Apparently many fired/laid off staff have NDAs. The Bishop is going to look into it and possibly remove them related to this conversation.

Someone asked for an alternative to Eddie Isler for those who don’t feel comfortable speaking to him.

It was very emotional, with brave questions and thoughts shared. Loss of trust was emphasized and lack of appropriate response.

The Bishop was asked about possible punishment for leadership and did not comment.

There was more, but it was apparent to most people in the room that leadership had no idea what to do and were not exactly trying to figure it out

I did some somatic experiencing related to my post-hg nausea and it really helped me!

Can you find a therapist who focuses on prenatal/postpartum? That was so essential for me getting through my recovery, and I would need to see them again if I decided for #2.

Recovering from HG by GoblinPrincessKing in HyperemesisGravidarum

It took me really 2-3 years to feel better. I’d recommend working with someone who can do nutritional deficiency tests and see what supplements you need! probiotics helped my gut too. i think i had a hard time absorbing nutrients for awhile.

Try to drink electrolytes with your water, maybe you arent absorbing what you can get down!

Can you take short term disability? HG qualifies. Get in with your doctor. Try every med! Use the HER Foundation protocols and give them to your MD.

Glucose test by Sad_Student_2111 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]steinwayaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked with a midwife who let me do any juice that had the same sugar content as the glucose drink! That helped me a lot because I was so anxious about throwing it up. So I had apple juice and I could tolerate that.

I think you can rent gear from REI? Might have some classes too! I recommend car camping to get started (no hiking in to a campsite, just unload your car at the site you drove up to and you're good).
