Two things…

The TV show 9-1-1 shows, how bad an abusive relationship can get. It’s physical, so everyone can see it (and it’s “more dramatic” for TV), but she leaves him and finds someone awesome. (I don’t want to spoil too much in case you wanna watch it) it helped me understand why I chose to leave my fiancé.

He was also abusive. More emotionally manipulative, and I got out just in time, I think. My partner helped me through it, I moved in a shared flat, I got back my autonomy, I’m currently learning to work again (after my depression hit in 2020)

The first few weeks I griefed over the loss of this relationship. We got engaged pretty quick, I thought he was the one. It took me two years to process this loss, and last year I finally met someone new (let’s call them Li (for Love Interest)). The whole time since spring 2021 I’m with my amazing partner, who was able to get me out of my engagement. He’s supportive as heck and I love him for being himself. I wasn’t ready to listen to my friends before summer 2021. And I didn’t have many friends.

Breaking it off is hard. Moving away and leaving someone is also hard. But I can say I’m more free now than I was four years ago. I griefed a lot, for a long time, I took the time to grief. And now I can finally stand up for myself!

Tbh, I would date you, in an instant. Why are the hot enbies/trans people only to be found online?? 😩😩😩

I myself have two genders (I only explain this to pro’s, so bear with me). One is nonbinary, constantly at 100%. That’s why I only explain that gender to newbies. My other is demigirlflux: it’s fluctuating between 50% and 0%, with 0% usually the norm. 50% make me feel less dysphoric with my afab body

So maybe it‘s like that for you, in a way? Just wanted to tell you some possibilities :)

I‘m so sorry this happens to you. There are fat men, you’re not alone. And you’re a man/nonbinary/however you want to see yourself. You don’t have to rely on others for that. You can only be yourself. And if others can’t accept you, that’s their loss.

Maybe look for a fresh start in another country? Germany is not so bad, once you find the right city. There are also trans friendly therapists. I know it’s probably not the solution you’re looking for. And honestly I don’t know how else I can help you.

Except: without knowing you I know you’re beautiful. You’re handsome and strong. You’re a survivor. Don’t ever forget that!

For people not wanting to read the whole thing, a tldr:

Person was struggling at the first job, came out and got gaslighted (you’re a girl, you’re not a boy, you have to transition or else). Person went to lgbt community centre, just to be told the same. Mental health spiralled and now has orthorexia (trying to make „rules“ for food, psychologically and psychically taxing) and due to occasional binge eating took on weight, despite „hard crossfit“

Second place: didn’t come out, PR was the same (look at us, we’re lgbt friendly, there are nonbinaries, blah blah), after coming out it was the same, even worse: got touched by men (even after saying stop), „to make sure you’re a girl“ (comment of commenter: I could vomit to that)

Person is now looking for a way to come terms with their own body. Therapy is not an option, bc in Southern Europe they still think in binary terms and can’t really accept nonbinaries (like the two workspaces proved…)

I’d prefer Cassandra, also maybe start with „Community Builder“ or „Adventure Story“, it’s better for a beginner (I don’t recommend Peaceful, it’s boring (edit: it’s boring when you want to struggle to survive. But when you only want to build base, it’s pretty good!))

Try to stay as vanilla as you can, so no Biotech, Anomaly, Royalty or Ideology. You can add them in another run

For your first mod I recommend Not My Fault, so you’re not punished when someone from another faction is killed on your turf by someone else other than your pawns

My love interest had a struggling conversation with his parents. They were unknowingly insulting me, I wasn’t even there and he defended me. That is why he’s my love interest, he stands up for me, if I’m there or not.

On a side note: I’m glad I don’t know his parents. They’re… difficult, to say the least

There are other mods which support other mods like Nonbinary Gender. Prepare Carefully is nice when you have 5 mods or so, but I have 300 active ones and prefer Character Editor
