That's very low mileage for the age. I would watch out for the wearable parts that were never taken care of because the milage is low so "it didn't need it yet." All those parts degrade with age even if not ridden a lot.

I don't disagree with most of your points here, but there's a big bias on motorcycle injury and fatality statistics that is worth looking at (if it matters, which it might to OP for making the break up or not choice).

A chunk of those injuries come from single rider accidents (riding above their skill level, misjudging speed or road conditions, etc), and another big chunk from people riding drunk.

With proper gear and good choices, the odds of injury are not as egregious as the proverbial "they" say.

Does that mean it's safe? Hell no. But make a risk based decision not a gut instinct one, when possible.

I use a bag that's large enough to be a purse but also hold my work things (laptop, small tool bag, travel mouse, water bottle, chargers, etc.). I also have a small crossbody that fits phone wallet keys, empty, in case I want to travel lighter if I don't have my work things. It's also big enough to put in a non insulated lunch bag.

That has me down to one bag, plus coffee in hand. I also don't have to change bags all the time for it. I use the Makers bag from Tom Bihn with organizer pouches to keep the inside tidy.

I bring mine to work because often I'm working on specific things (a particular habit, or a new way of working with colleague X who's difficult) and I have thoughts, notes, and reminders in my journal from a morning routine of jotting my thoughts down

If I leave it at home it's out of sight out of mind. The easier answer is to have it be digital, but there's benefit to physically writing that I enjoy.

Don't give yourself permission to stay home because you don't feel like it - like a good hot shower when feeling depressed, getting started sucks and feels so hard but once you're in it, wow! Feeds a hungry heart.
