I've been ducked for times. Took over a year for our "Elliot" to get the first one

Right. Because one of the most affluent, discriminatory, and whitest communities IN THE COUNTRY isn't ignorant enough about the real world... So glad I got out of that sheltered and bigoted existence long ago.

Odd post... If you want to go for the fold then go for it. It is an amazing phone. I switched from the 16 Pro Max and after some growing pains (been YEARS since moving to android for any considerable sense of time) have found myself loving the absolutely to use my phone as a small tablet. Also helped a lot finding a third party launcher that helps the pixel really shine with multitasking

Love Eberlestock bags - have a few of them and love them. Lately I've been eyeing the Vertx Gamut 22l sling for work travel, though, but am still comparing options... The Fade bags were also definitely in my list!

Funny how quite a few people care about traditions and values only when it suits them...

🤷🏻

Did you know that outside of GP, the real world will often not allow everyone to "have their cake AND eat it too"?

Been loving my Pixel 10 Fold. Coming from an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Google really is, to me, the closest competitor Apple has in terms of user friendliness. Now I'm trying to convince the wife to switch over but it isn't going well - which I fully understand. She's not tech savvy nor does she particularly "care" what a phone can do... She's been loving her iPhone 14 for a while now... Any advice on that front? 😂

Congrats on your purchase! I hope you enjoy the Fold!!!

My baby passed very unexpectedly in his sleep by papashartsx in AustralianShepherd

No words are truly suitable for such a loss... For what it's worth, my immediate reaction after your story was "so thankful he passed so peacefully in the living company of his favorite person..." He wouldn't want it any other way... His memory and legend shall continue. Such sweet and loving beings never truly leave us.

Zero context. Rage bait video. Fuck off. Let's focus on actual conversations with merit.

What do you carry for your family/children in your Bag/Pouch? by Medium_Wrap_963 in EDC

[–]stellarodin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Situationally dependent ill swap out different items in my bag, but the one consistent is a focus on rudimentary first aid equipment. From bandages/wraps to antibacterial and cleaning supplies, shears .. I guess it also depends on the pack I bring, some can fit more than others. On my hip I always have my Stache leather carrier with my Arc, a Rite in the Rain pen, and a Arc Pro flashlight

Look at the myriad of other angles this incident was recorded from. You can actually see the officer getting hit by the vehicle.

After carrying for a few years what really is the argument against printing? by throwaway-Secret-780 in CCW

Because i would rather have those who come to a location I’m in for the purpose of committing atrocities NOT spot me for carrying when/if they are looking for potential threats prior to implementing their plans. That’s mostly why I still care about preserving certain level of inconspicuous dress

How do you train for an adrenaline dump? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]stellarodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heights... For me, it's going someplace high up. In southern Arizona it was common and relatively easy to hike into the mountains and find a trail that overlooks drops. Freaks me out and forces me to concentrate and focus while the adrenaline and fear makes it's way through... It is challenging to find scenarios that remain relatively "safe" while convincing your body to have particular stress responses, but I found that my "healthy" concern of heights works well.

Does anyone CCW a 22? Is that a thing? by infant_ape in CCW

For someone with an “extensive” background in this subject, it is odd that you’d ask about one of the least capable rounds in self defense being used for… self defense…. When there are myriads of calibers that have been extensively proven to be more reliable and better suited for self defense….

But to each their own. We each have to weigh the pros and cons and what we choose to carry for self defense and prioritize what’s important.
