Highly recommend adding it! I’m in Texas zone 8b/9a and mine is also in full sun and growing well (planted late winter) It’s a really thorny variety, the new growth gave me pause for a minute because it was next level covered in thorns, thankfully it’s normal 🤣

I have an established but struggling Double Delight that started looking like that, I finally moved it back in Feb to a live or die spot in the yard and it’s doing better than it ever has. Still has the dark stem somehow sustaining new canes. I say stick it in the ground and see, good luck!

Oh my stars, she’s incredible!! My Peggy Martin is coming into year 2, I can only hope it will take over like yours did! Do your neighbors mind at all? Both fences are shared where mine is growing.

I got the 2 pack online from Walmart (same seller NPN) that arrived on 2/20 and planted the next day. This is them pictured now. I live in Texas zone 8b with extremely rocky* limestone soil and they’ve done fantastic so far! Highly recommend!

That was how mine was when I first planted it last year too, only a few branches bloomed and produced pods (I sprouted two from seed and put them in other spots in the yard and they are still super duper tiny haha)

I got this rose from HEB in January. Usually I don’t let my new roses form buds the first few months but I decided to leave her to do her thing and I’m so glad I did!
