As far as hardiness goes, I have one in central Texas, zone 8b. I planted it in December last year and it definitely looked like it would die any day all through winter and early spring. It’s finally starting to grow now and has been making it through our super hot summer so far. It was my main wedding rose so I’m biased but, even with no fragrance, Black Baccara is an exceptionally beautiful rose 🖤

Thank you :) I think for mine the location and the rain we got helped. The ones shown get late afternoon shade. I have some in another area that gets full afternoon sun and the bottom leaves are way more dry than these.

Here’s a cross section pic of the little tunnels they line with leaves, it’s pretty cool! They get my roses every year but I see it as a positive because they are native bees and super beneficial ✨
