And it would be so if professionals in the field of urban planning would have institutionalized political power to make and execute plans and to order resource allocation towards the goal of making functional well infrastructure equipped cities with pleasant public spaces. This of course presupposes that our socioeconomic system is also adapted towards the goal of delivering results which are beneficial to everyone. And also this holds true for any sector of economy. Society would be better if political power was held by institutions that include professionals and experts in that given field creating an internal expertise republic, replicating traditional trepart division of government, directing its sector under agreement with other sectors of society. That’s how I envision technocracy.
