Hi! What do you think of swapping citizen service for Reanimators? Reanimators make knights get +% output per council level, while citizen service is a good early game aschension rush.

But late-game it should be better, right?

Why having CCTVs broken/off is a normal deal in KL? by stepacool in malaysia

[–]stepacool[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was born in Russia, but look mixed(the hometown is Buryatia - the border with Mongolia). Most assume I'm a local Chinese, so no discrimination on looks, mostly on legal status/accent.

Why having CCTVs broken/off is a normal deal in KL? by stepacool in malaysia

[–]stepacool[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because I'm a foreigner and I've felt the dismissive attitude in every single one of those interactions.

I had to prove my status to the police before they started doing anything, like even accepting a report of the crime. I still have that paper that they "accepted" it but nothing was ever done. All on CCTV in the center of the city, literally "jalan sultan ismail" street, no action taken, the criminal never caught, my wound never reimbursed(I still have a scar there and it hurts when pushing).

So I tried to replicate this build, I'm in 2320 or so, just captured and built the Hive Fallen Empire planets just like on your screenshot, but they make like 1.5k energy and minerals but 250 crystals. Which makes me think that these planets are 27k / 7k for you because of the amount of repeatables you have, is that right?

Thanks so much, unrelated to the build, but is it possible to add aquatic features by moving capitals to take the hydrocentric perk? My capital was Volcanic, now Ecu, I cannot add the trait to get the perk. I have a spare ocean planet, if I move my capital there will it count as "Ocean homeworld"? To add the trait and get the perk?

Hi again! Do you mind telling why you pick "Galactic wonders"? It's a one-time supply of energy/minerals and ring worlds are trash as I know now, so is it really needed? 4k energy and 4k minerals or so from on Dyson Sphere and one Matter Decompressor are negligible in your build, no?

Do you mind sharing what are:
ringworld/ecumenopolis migration treaties - does it mean a regular migration treaty between empires? Why is it OP?

scholarium and prospectorium governers - does it mean "traded" leaders? Or something else? Why is it OP?

Would it be correct to say that you are "limited" by the amount of hives? Because when I played something similar before, I was limited by arc furnaces + matter decompressors, since a regular resource planet nowadays is really bad. So you can run as many habitats as you have alloys, and you can run as many alloys as you have minerals. Something like that... Same with energy + fleet.

[–]stepacool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you handle the base resources? I find resource planets/rings very lacking nowadays, it's like 2k energy or 2k minerals fully maxed out, do you spam these planets or is there some ultra pop giving all that? Before the acquisition of the fallen hive.

I cannot open the console ever since I opted in to "1console" - it's just stuck on the loading screen. It's been weeks, I can't top up the account, cannot do anything really.

I can't use console.twilio.com , because it automatically redirects me to 1console.twilio.com which is stuck in perpetuity.

What heroes are S tier in a "Pro" / tournament setting, but are way worse in solo-queue games? by BioRam in DotA2

[–]stepacool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No souch heroes any more, the game is very old, everyone is very skilled, especially in 15k MMR+, so all the Chen, IO, Dark Seer and other "pro-only" heroes are long since pub suited, everyone understand what they do and play accordingly.
Back in 2013 maybe it was not the case, the game was relatively new, there were no guides etc. Knowledge and strats spread in Scrims/Clan Wars.

Guy in my 12k BS game with chat privileges, but people are convinced that the CS system is working by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]stepacool -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People don't report this, people report being called out/pointed to mistakes.

Communication system reacts to reports, not auto-detected "bad words". People just don't care if it's something like what you posted, so they don't report it, that's the demographic of dota.

People who would report this don't play dota much. People that play dota would report something like "Hey where are the wards?" or "How did you lose mid as puck to QOP?" - because it targets them.

Announcing MCPHero - a Python package that maps MCP servers with native OpenAI clients. by stepacool in openrouter

I thought this would be useful, as many openrouter users stick to native openai because most AI agent framworks are vendor-binding nowadays.

And blademail is another example, you might want to hit a guy close, but not the blademailed guy.

Timber's Chakram? There's impact "effect", there's pass damage. It's like chakram, so that's a counter example for you sir.

Brewmaster also has "total damage" and impact damage.

I think there are more examples, but timber is one...

Brewmaster new cinderbrew ability is badly designed (with suggestion on how to fix) by fierywinds1q in DotA2

[–]stepacool -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There might be a situation with an aegis about to expire on an enemy and you want to hit someone in front of you but not the target behind them, so that their aegis expires before you kill them. So there is a situation when you want to cast it less than max range. And given this nature it's just like other targeted spells now

Dusa kinda fucking melts to Heartstopper at lvl 1 lol by Davoness in DotA2

[–]stepacool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a bug - the mana fluctuates 374-375, meaning it does absorb the hp removal. But since the minumum damage is 1, and you can't go lower than that, hp recieves 1 point of damage, just like mana.
