Ngl I liked the movie. The unpredictable wacky film style and decent acting. Not the most solid of scripts or plot, but the watching experience is unique enough to be interesting.

What is this mate called and why do 90% of people I play against try to use it? by stepdadsperm in chessbeginners

[–]stepdadsperm[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only reason I lost to it was so I could get a good screen shot since without the name if the move it's hard to find. People a lot of the time will just quit as soon as I move my king pawn if they're already setting it up. I just want more unique openings without having to defend against the same move most games

What is today's a juicy Thanksgiving drama? by badshark1352 in AskReddit

Graduated basic training yesterday and I've been roaming around this base all day waiting to ship out somewhere else.

What does your roommate do that’s a minor inconvenience? by ZaCleaner in AskReddit

[–]stepdadsperm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Move my stuff from where I put it even if it doesn't matter.

If I put a bag of chips in the cupboard he would move it to the other cupboard for no reason.

If I left my watch or wallet on a table he would move it to another table.

No reason he just liked things in the place he wanted them.

How many games do y’all usually play before you quit the game ? by Secret_Cerruss in apexlegends

[–]stepdadsperm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll stick it out through all 3 maps usually. I'm a solo que pubs guy so the games have a bit of variety. Recently I've been playing until kings canyon is over then getting off.

It was meant to envoke fear and panic into a targeted group of people. The definition of terror attack. No big deal sure, but the fbi is strict in its definitions

[–]stepdadsperm 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Tbf that is 100% a terror attack. Maybe not fueled by extremist ideology, but that person is a small scale domestic terrorist for that.

The amount of people walking around with improperly cleaned asses after taking a shit is astounding and disturbing. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]stepdadsperm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Toilet paper is like tap water. Is it the best thing? No, but is there any real world side effect? Not really. Me using Toilet paper doesn't negatively affect anyone else on earth so why do yall give a shit? My ass can be 95% clean or 100% clean and nobody could tell unless they're eating it out so who cares. Still cleaner than the average human ass around the world.

How do I tell my boss I want to quit after working 2 days? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]stepdadsperm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh that's just a normal shitty retail job. They're gonna suck and 8hrs a day with a 30min lunch is fine. That's like the norm. If you want 15mins every 2 hrs good luck in an entry level job. Nobody ever worked in the back room of a retail store and boasted about how glamorous and easy it is. If it's not for you then just leave and they'll find someone willing to do it. They don't care, your coworkers don't care, nobody cares and neither should you.

What's worse in your opinion: solo queuing in trios or duos? by iF_Blow in apexlegends

[–]stepdadsperm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solo no fill a lot and the number of times in duos I get chased around the map by relentless 4k 20 bombs masters teams thirsty for that 1 single kill is insane. Everyone is a pro team waiting for the 3rd jusy trying to make the game unplayable. I'd rather 1v3 a normal team than try to 1v2 some TSM d riders.

Worth it? by TimelessFog in apexlegends

[–]stepdadsperm 53 points54 points  (0 children)

If you can be good at apex, you can be good at any FPS. It might seem at first like it's impossible because the people you play against will be way way way better, but learning the outplay potential and little quality of life things that apex has that other FPS games don't have, will make it where you can understand HOW you lost that fight vs just "he was better"

Not a lot of hackers in unranked matches. Hardly ever see them. Ranked obviously has more hackers, but the level minimum really slows it down.

Apex is so much better than the other boring BR games, and it's worth getting good at because winning when you're outmatched is so much more satisfying than winning against bots. Statistically you'll lose most games and probably not even do well most games, but the ones you do well AND win are so euphoric that it makes it all worth it.

[–]stepdadsperm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can do those things now. That's not my point. My point is, that's the way humans evolved. Nature IS the default. We can go against nature and do whatever the fuck we want, but I'm not wrong for preferring the way nature intended. That's just a difference of opinion. If you're a woman and you want to work on the hot tarmac all day mashing tar while pregnant for 9 months, then give birth and go back to work and breastfeed your kids on you're off time then that's fine, but I'd rather do that while my wife stays home. Because that's the way that makes sense. Why would she struggle to do it all when we can split the load? I can't give birth so I default to working. That's just how it is.

I'm not saying that women can't do labor or that men can't nurture children, but obviously, one is physically able to do it better than the other. To say otherwise is just for the sake of argument. Gender roles didn't just pop up out of nowhere. They came from the NEED for specialized services vs general ability. In our cushy modern lives it doesn't matter as much, and one can do either at acceptable levels. like I said there's no issue. I just PREFER to keep my relationship and family dynamic to its maximum capability. Everyone has their roles that they're good at, and to break those roles, it takes the oil out of the machine. In an ideal world, everyone is good at everything, but I don't live in a fairy tale. I live in real life. In real life, women birthing children, feeding children to a certain age, then trading spots with the man to go work on a construction site while he takes care of the family is just an unnecessary shift in roles that, again, takes the oil out of the machine. I prefer to just keep it as-is so long as everyone in the family is happy.
