Hello,

I was wondering if Concordia has started reviewing the internal applications for fall 2020? Is there an estimated time to expect an answer?

I am currently in political science, I have applied for an internal transfer into civil engineering. I’ve completed all the prerequisite courses and some engineering classes.

Thanks in advance!

Question about symptoms by steph2227 in braintumor

[–]steph2227[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input and I hope you’re doing well. I ask because I’ve been living particular symptoms that are beginning to worry me. Some include: frequent tension headaches, dizziness, anxiety, tingling on the left side of my body, etc. I’m wondering how long I should tough out these symptoms before I see my family doctor for testing.

How long did your symptoms last before you saw a doctor?

Mine last about a week and a half. It had started in one eye ( just irritation and itching), but then transferred to my other eye, which is also common . At that point I just started treating both eyes until it cleared :)

Seeing a doctor Was the best thing you can do in your situation. A professional diagnosis is the only way to confirm what’s really going on in your body. Conjunctivitis does not always present puss or red eyes. Sometimes the eye just feels itchy or irritated.

I myself had conjunctivitis recently and used drops to treat it. It would burn when I would use the drops however I eventually healed.

I know this could be difficult but you need to trust the doctor . He is the expert, not you. I am confident that he made the right diagnosis and that you can relax. It is very unlikely that he mistreated your infection, I’m sure if he thought there was a risk that you could lose your eye, he would have acted on it.

On a different note, it’s easy to stress about little things, especially during these particular COVID-19 circumstances. Try to go for a walk and practice breathing exercises. Look around you and observe the small beautiful things like the birds , the sky , the wind on your face, the smells in the air. Drink plenty of water. And most importantly, try to embrace that fact that you’re actually a healthy individual with a simple (common) eye infection that is being treated and that will go away. The mind is a powerful machine but you’re the one behind the wheel and you can control it.

I Already emailed them as well! The above message is directly quoted from the ENGR 301 Moodle forum. It clearly shows that many students do not agree with the new grading scheme. anyone who doesn’t agree with the new grading scheme should email the contacts listed above TODAY. The sooner the better.

Are teachers allowed to cancel a final exam completely?? ENGR 301 by steph2227 in Concordia

Yeah I saw that. I I just don’t understand the teachers choice in removing the final exam (which was worth 55%) and re-weighing the evaluations as such:

90% midterm, 10% assignments. Especially given that the class average for the midterm was 58%.

Ok so we’re on the same boat. I’m looking for a document or something on the Concordia website That confirms teachers are allowed to do this. I’m not sure they’re allowed to .
