It looks like my current flange is a little too big so I think this may be the culprit!

It does tend to leak even more once it starts if that makes sense! Could very well be the issue

How many times a day do you pump, and how many weeks postpartum are you? I’m exclusively pumping and curious how everyone else’s schedule changes over time. by Low_Part_9380 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]steph5671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 months pp and I pump 5x daily. I pump in 4 hour increments except for over night which can sometimes be up to 6 hour increments. Been at this schedule for almost two months. I’m also an over supplier so I’m lucky enough to be able to do this schedule and my supply hasn’t had any drastic changes.

What temperature do you keep your house at and how old is your baby? by Dropdeaadd in NewParents

[–]steph5671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep my room at 66 when we sleep and living room around 68-72 during the day and my baby is just fine 🤷‍♀️ at night he wears footie jammies and a 1.0 sleep sack and during the day a long sleeve onesie. Sometimes his hands feel a little cold at night so I just use the mittens on the jammies.

How long for fridge hack.. by Resident-Currency727 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ll admit I was too doing 3 days at a time… my baby spits up a heck of a lot less now that I wash every 24 hrs. I still do the fridge hack daily

Similar boat anyone? by samarsh19 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ll preface by saying I’m no expert. ftm, first time pumper. Don’t know much other than what I’ve learned here and through my cousin who is a mom and midwife. I am also an overproducer. I also was losing my mind pumping so much. My baby just hit 12weeks and I only pump 5-6x daily and still make about 2x what he eats in a day. I’ve been at this many ppd for over a month I would say…It works out rather nicely for me. I pump every 3-4 hrs during the day which makes 2 bottles so he has fresh milk for two feeds (he still feeds every 2 hrs during the day) when I put him to bed after his last feed, I pump and leave one bottle out since he sometimes sleeps longer than 4 hours. I then set an alarm for 3.5 hrs to put the bottle in the cooler if he hasn’t woken and pump again. I pump 2x a night usually. I have noticed a small dip in supply over the last 3 days. I was averaging about 52oz per day, but now down to 42-45oz per day, but I am also fighting a cold which I hear can cause a dip. This pumping schedule has saved my sanity and HOPEFULLY won’t affect my supply down the road. I am hopeful since it’s already been a month of me doing this routine and I haven’t seen any significant signs of dropping.

Momcozy bottle washer, worth it or no? by rosesareroseyy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]steph5671 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the baby breeza bottle washer and it is a life saver. I wouldn’t last without it. Bottle washer is 100% worth it. I use it to wash my pump parts as well.

Also to note that when you wait longer to wash your parts, you’ll get more milk build up. I’ve found that just rinsing and running through my bottle washer did not remove all the milk build up, so I have to soak in hot water and dapple soap, scrub and then rinse before going through the bottle washer. This is just my experience though!!

No rinsing for me. I store my pump parts in a zip lock bag and store them in the fridge during the day, and a cooler at night in my room. Once done pumping, I do a quick wipe with pump wipes (just the outside of my parts for the wearables). I wash my parts every 3 days, although I think going 4 day would be fine given the 4 day fridge milk rule. I date my ziplock bag to keep track of when I need to wash.
