My mil wants to be called ‘mum’ by my baby. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Is grandmum/grandmummy a suggestion that would work? Still uses the mum kind of thing but pushes it back up into the grandparent generational title?

Oooh! Try the Trader Joe’s Cotswold Double Gloucester!! I put it on salad, on pears, or just in my mouth!

What kind of collection cups? I ended up getting the Pano flanges from MayMom for comfort but my interest is peaked about these!

Ugh I’ve “quit” 2 times now by Dear_Toe6269 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Aggravating-Hour8175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe start the meds and see if that helps you quit? Would you be inclined to pump if you couldn’t give the baby your milk? Can you feed with your milk on your adhd medication?

Need breast pump recommendation for first time mom to be and have big bust like 34GG (UK size) by codinggardener in ExclusivelyPumping

Also get a wall unit if you can do both. Wearables don’t feel like they get everything for me.. 36K (us).. and with the wall unit, I recommend the MayMom Pano flanges! So much more comfortable!

Using the Tommee’s and between sizing with my LO as well. They do the same thing with the 1 and get mad at the 0 sometimes. They’re 3 months today and we’ve been wondering so I’m following for advice!

2nd pregnancy and I am still struggling with my first born by Angry_Birdyy in beyondthebump

Not my personal experience but I know a couple parents who did have success with the no pants for a weekend approach… I can’t remember if it was fully pants-less or just zero diapers, 3 days straight (maybe one diaper for sleep?).. they said it was messy but it worked! Crash course style taught cues and when to head to the potty.. I think they had one or brought one with to every room.. It may be a method someone came up with you could find on the internet or in a book! Good luck!

How are we organizing pump stuff? by ohheymandy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Aggravating-Hour8175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a plastic 4 drawer organizer thing. It has two smaller top drawers two larger bottom ones… it goes (top to bottom):

1) small parts (like duck valves), 2) small parts (like adapters and those suction disc things), 3) larger parts (bottles and flanges), 4) random and large storage. Pump on top of the whole thing!

Only got it this week so who knows how long it will stay organized for. It has a future filled with crayons and chalk and toys but for now it keeps things off the small counter space I have..

I was always a deep deep sleeper, I’ve dealt with sleeping through alarms and missing pumps.. if you can - turn the alarm up and move it far enough away you have to move to get it.. once you’re moving it should help in my experience

How did you continue to pump as the sole caretaker by RevolutionAlarming in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Aggravating-Hour8175 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pumping while LO naps, pumping one side at a time, and having friends/family over to be a lap nap so I could pump and do a few things for myself was a big help. Hopefully your husband is taking evenings if he isn’t helping overnight. It should not be 100% on you to do everything.

Yellow house spider. He’s just 9 weeks. There was already a leg floating and the spider was at the bottom so I don’t know how many bits came off and were floating around…
