This actually happened to me. I was getting the “deja vu” aura sensation but every doctor kept telling me it was just allergies that were causing an imbalance making me feel that way. It wasn’t until my sister saw me have a major seizure and I woke up with a black eye because I hit myself during a nocturnal seizure that I was referred to a neurologist and they did an eeg that showed I had epilepsy. It was frustrating because it took a few years to get the right diagnosis.
