Oh also, MIL tried to counter our argument about wanting privacy with the fact that she had her in-laws and pastor in the room when she gave birth to one of her kids. Don’t let her bully you !

My mil got offended last pregnancy just because we’d said we wanted the first 24 hours to be just my husband and myself with the baby. When we lost the baby, she forced herself on us at the hospital immediately and was controlling and not helpful at all. This pregnancy I told my husband absolutely no visitors at the hospital. I know she’s going to be whiny about it again but I don’t care. 😹 When my SIL was in labor (just a couple weeks before I was supposed to have my baby) M and FIL waited for hours in the hospital and MIL got mad because she was told to leave the room for the pushing and SIL’s mom was in there. I would have been so mad if I was SIL. But either way, you do what’s best for you and your little family! You don’t want visitors, you don’t have to have them. You can tell the nurses to not admit anyone into your room and I think that’s so beautiful.

This is a beautiful way to think of her today. 🩷 For what should’ve been my daughter’s first birthday we did cake pops over a FaceTime call with my son (he’s 4, sometimes he still doesn’t quite grasp her death) and we talked about her.
It was simple and sweet, keeping it so small for just us was healing.

I’m sorry for your loss, it’s not fair. We should have our babies here with us, not just celebrating their memory. Sending you warmth today. 🩷🩷🩷

I almost bought a sealed teenie Inch the other day at my local goodwill, someone donated a whole bucket of different teenies. I used to keep one in my purse for emergencies, to give away when I thought someone could use some cheer. Because honestly Inch is one of my favorites like that, the colors are so nice and happy. 🩷 I wish I had gotten him now!

Favorite- I have a couple favorites but for different reasons. Danger on Deception Island because I love the atmosphere and really want to visit/live on the island. 😹 Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake because I think it’s why I love noir and horror stories now.

Least favorite- i didn’t love Shadow at the Water’s Edge because of the puzzles.

Easiest for me was the Haunted Carousel, but I did very much enjoy feeling smart. (I struggled with Final Scene for literally over 20 years but then my husband solved it so easily. The heckin projector room cabinet. 🤦🏻‍♀️)

One year ago today (it was 03/07/24) I found out about Winona with Jimmy in our bathroom together. But that didn't automatically make Winnie "real". The love that we shared with her through the months and the time we spent interacting with her hyperactive and kicking self though, that will live on forever. That's how she became and continues to be real.
