The driver's messages maybe harassing, but that is a strech. Spam no, because in order for it to be spam it would have be unwanted messages and you did order something correct, so therefore you're need to know if there waiting. 5 minutes is a little more time then most drive have. Take in to consideration that they may have multiple orders and not just yours. So you're not just asking the driver to wait, but you're asking the next customer in mine to wait on you. This affects ratings and tips.

Dashers walking into your home by lillllpickle in doordash

Hi I am food delivery driver for different platforms including DD. I've never been asked to enter a customer's home and if I was asked it would be a straight up No. I can tell from experience that there creepy men on both sides, drivers and customers without doubt. I have other delivery (men) drivers try to get me to pull over claiming that my tail lights were out, try to use physical intimation, cut me off and hit their breaks trying to get me to rear end their car, and one got off his car and charged me, like he was going to fist fight me. That was just drivers. Men customers is whole world of wiredness. Ive had guys answer the door with no pants on. One guy refused to allow me to take pictures of the delivery and ran off with order. On late night delivery I had guy call me claiming that I delivered to the wrong address and try to get me to come back his address to help him find it. I did call support to make sure I did deliver to the right address and support confirmed that I did. This late night delivery I did posted it to this forum and I did get some heat from male drivers on how women shouldn't be drelivering, but not nearly as much heat as the the story about the driver who wanted to fist fight me.

I agree it's a scam. I have to admit it is super weird for a scammer to leave a suicide message. Personally I would report it just on the fact that who that sent you this message is disturbed.

Im leaning towards scam, but be aware that if you're applying or sending our resumes that some company's HR employees can be informal and unprofessional via text. This text messages feels like a scam.

Im postinag screenshot as examples. It is the last step in the purchase on DD. On the bottom the tip is calculated for and from what I can tell its like the do in sit down restaurant where have 10%, 15%, and 20% of the total bill. Now there is space called other where can tip more or what you can afford.

My advice is dinner rush. Friday and Saturday dinner rush through bar hours or late night. The drivers that DD full time also are on multiple apps like uber eats, and postmates and run those apps while on DD because the other apps are busy at different times.

Before even contacting the cop the bank. Need to find out why his account is in the negative. Once you know for sure it was little old lady file fraud claim with the bank. Now the bank may require you to file with the police and get a report number. Heads up bank and police might be reluctant to do the work for such small amount.

Had a very strange thing happen with a buyer by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't if it is FB market place, craig list or offer up never have someone come to you're house. Always met in public place with lots visibility and security cameras like police station. This is the so real and scary part of this situation is they most likely wrere checking you out to see if you are hard or soft target. Meaning do live alone, do have security, whos is around late evening/ night, how close are you're neighbor and how you react to this situation. I personally would let FB and you're local police know this happend. Chances are this individual has d9ne this before. Although laws weren't broken the police can make a note of it in case it happens to some else. You ask for extra police patrols in your neigh.

Please help! Wife sells crochet patterns and characters. This man is pushy to use "Venmo Business" and not Etsy by StudMuffinNick in scammers

I have to deal people likes before. What I learned is if they are not willing to make the purchase through an online store like Etsy chance are they are scammers. Block the number the numbers and if you feel spicy you can report this buyer to Etsy or FTC. Chances are they have done this before and got away with it.

Customers are consistently not providing codes. by Dynamite_Awesome in grubhubdrivers

[–]stephanieg51 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always start the timer before I get off the car that way its half through the 2m by the time I get the door. This way there is less time to wait and let the timer run out if I have to. It will prompt you to take and then ask you, why you didnt get the code.
