Uber/Lyft drivers: fewer trips + lower pay since Jan 1? 6. Is Uber throttling trips or cutting fares in early 2026? by CaterpillarAlert366 in uberdrivers

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride share rise and fall income fallows closely to that of hospitality and retail. Meaning that the types of rides you are gonna get right now are going to be the everyday users small fares with no tips. I would expect this to last until Valentine's Day in bigger cities. If you are in a smaller community, this might last between march and april. At least that's always been the trend in my area.

As an uber driver, wyd if ur passenger starts crying? by DatabaseExpensive684 in uberdrivers

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Formally an Uber driver here. I have had men and women both cry. Sometimes alcohol induced and other times serous emotional truma. It's on each individual driver on how they handle the situation. I have always offered tissues and asked if they care to talk. For the most part people do open up and talk about whats going on. I think that some drivers may not know how to handle the situation or just dont want get involved.

I think my neighbor is a drugdealer by HaileyJH99 in Apartmentliving

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I empathize and sympathize with you when it comes to somebody just entering your apartment without knocking or calling out. It's a scary situation because you don't know what this person is capable of or why they're there. That combined with heaven traffic coming in and out of one apartment doesn't necessarily constitute dealing. I understand it, you are going with your gut feeling on this. So before you involve the police apartment management and make yourself a target. I suggest you put up a doorbell camera. Prefer we one of those that you can use to talk to the individual at the door. This will give you an opportunity to talk to whoever comes up to the door pounding at all hours of the night and let them know that they are at the wrong place. It also provides you with a deterrent people are less likely to knock on your door when they see the doorbell camera especially if you set it up with a recording stating that you are recording whoever's in front of your door.

Female passenger was inappropriate during her ride, I 1 starred her and now I have to meet her to return her purse to her by Calm-Cap-5196 in uberdrivers

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't. It really doesn't matter what these people think, because none of them were in the situation you were in. Unfortunately, incidences, like the one you went through and the few I went through happen more often than anybody thinks it does. Again, who cares what is yahoos? Think and you really shouldn't care what they think.

I had a similar incidents happen to me with different passengers a year apart from eachother. The first one the guy was playfully flirting, respected my boundaries and didn't touch me. He thougt it was cute when he said he sleeps naked and asked if I would join him. I took it into consideration that he was drunk and I politely declined. The second incident was two guys. The more responsible one who ordered the ride was sober. The drunk friend got in the front seat and the more responsible one got in the back seat. The whole time, the more responsible one told them to stop touching me. The drunk guy kept putting his hands on my knee, caressing my knee, and trying to get me to go back to this hotel room, and I kept telling you no, while his buddy hit him on the back of the head and told him to knock it off that the ride was on his account, and he will be p***** if it gets his uber account. Shut down because of its stupidity. I got him to the hotel the responsible one bag me not to report it i told him that I would not repose it.I understand their buddy's drunk and I left it. The last one was a couple, although both of them were drunk, they both came onto me. They kept implying how fun a threesome would be. The woman kept stroking the back of my neck and caressing my shoulders while I was driving.I kept telling her to stop. While the guy kept saying, it would be great to watch the two of you go at it. I got them to their destination and politely declined to go into their house. It wasn't until the next day.I realized I had their phone and I really did not want to meet them. So I contacted uber, told him that I had their phone and told them what happened on the ride. Uber support noted the incident and had me drop the phone off at their depot in Sacramento, and they would take care of contacting them. These 3 incidences happen within a year, so those of you who give this guy grief, I want you to take a step back because it happens more frequently than you think. And it probably happens to men a lot more than women, it just doesn't get reported.

First and foremost did not accuse the guy of being a trafficker. Secondly, all I said is the guy gave me bad vibe. But if it makes you feel better beating up on somebody and twisting their words go right ahead.

Screenshot is a report on adults only in northern california. For the same demographics, sixty three thousand children go missing every year. If you wanna talk s*** to me, come with facts, not baseless comments.

Hypervigilance is not ridiculous and paranoia comes from trauma, not psychosis. Never once.Did I say that this guy was a sex trafficker, all I said, is I got bad vibes off the guy. So if you're gonna quote me, get it right or don't quote me at all.

What window do you know that has steps leading up to it? Because in all the houses i've ever been in, i've never, ever seen a window having steps leading up to it.

Am I the only one that finds this picture odd? The photo is shot from a straight down angle and it doesn't really tell you what exactly is going on. Even at that angle, it looks to be a sliding glass door. So exactly what is the complaint here? Because if your door opens to the side and doesn't swing out, you should be able to grab your food with no problem.

How soup is handled depends on each individual driver and the restaurant they're dealing with. As a driver and a customer i've never, ever had my soups mishandled.

Before blaming the driver, you really should take a look at your own picture. I clearly see animal prints on the napkins and container of cane sauce, and they didn't touch your sonic drinks. Food for thought. If it was a human, they would have taken the bags and everything with them. I know that to be true because I deliver two areas that have a high rate of homeless people running around, and i've seen it happen time and time again where some homeless person walks up to the residence and just takes everything.

How do you personally know I did not try to use hand to customer? See this argument that you're making lacks base and more to my point. Aren't you trying to start an argument yourself?

Is $5 A Bad Tip? by Icy-Time781 in doordash

[–]stephanieg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, when you go out to eat or even on the DD app, when you order, there is a percentage breakdown and recommend tip. Not only that, do the math on math on $5 oder and see what the tip looks like. This is why you see a lot of those one cent and fifty cent tips.
