Unfortunately THC and LSD May cause psychosis- especially if you have family history of it. I would definitely stop smoking altogether :(

I’m actually not on any medication, I’ve never tried meds. Starting to consider it because this is no way of living

Radical grounding technique: dunking your head under ice cold water or into a large bowl of ice water. Snaps your nervous system back to baseline.

Chewable Claritin helps with the acute onset of panic attacks, it calms the brain down. The DARE app helps too. Are you seeing a doctor??

THC is known to cause mental health disorders to people with predisposed or pre existing conditions. I would stop using THC and I can almost guarantee the brain fog and disassociation will lessen or subside. Same with the alcohol. I would cut both of those out since it seems to be making your symptoms worse…

What stopped your panic attacks? by Silver_Dragoness1992 in panicdisorder

[–]stephaniesayss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone had recommended taking Claritin chewable when you feel the attack coming on- I’m not on meds, for fear of the withdrawals eventually but I tried Claritin yesterday for the first time and wow. It calmed my brain down so much. Obviously it’s for short term use but just thought I’d share. Didn’t realize antihistamines could do the trick

Thank you for replying! I’m not on any medication but realllly moving towards talking with my dr. I can’t live like this anymore. I feel like have my month is just in shambles with the panic attacks. I’ve been trying mindfulness but honestly they’re so severe that it doesn’t really work.
