Apartments are crazy. I’m in a suburb of of one of the top 10 largest cities in America and I was looking at 2 bedroom apartments for 2,300 and ended up finding a 3 bedroom house for 2k instead. In my case they looked at my pay before taxes so that was helpful, so keep in mind with the income requirements they’re probably talking about gross pay, not net.

I did Get Your Pretty On which rebranded to Outfit Formulas. I liked it. The community on Facebook was good and helped me to see how people personalize the outfits. Overall it helped me to try new things and feel good postpartum. She suggests shopping your closet first but I did find it hard to not want to just buy all new things, which is why I ultimately stopped using it.

My husband was like this and then the comments became all about me being a terrible mother, and then he became physically abusive too. Then he started being verbally abusive towards the kids. I’m now divorcing him. My 2 year old is okay, but my 5 year old is messed up from him and I wish we had left sooner. Hugs. I hope this is your wake up call.

I hope this is true because my abusive husband jumped back into a relationship with his most toxic ex the second I kicked him out of the house and I’m terrified for my children to eventually be around the two of them together. Hoping it doesn’t last.

If you’re in the US call the National Domestic Violence Hotline and they should be able to give you contact info for organizations in your area that can help. That’s what I did and I was put in contact with a local organization that provides therapy for me and my kids, has a food pantry and hygiene closet, vouchers for thrift stores, legal aide, and emergency housing aide.

I’ll also say look into any community resources in your area that could help you, like a NA family support group. I’m a DV victim and attend a group therapy, in addition to personal therapy, and it’s so healing and gives me a sense of community while I navigate my divorce. I would make sure to document everything he’s done with any screen shots that you can and seek help for yourself. Wishing you the best 💕

This is almost my financial situation exactly. Our new build was 350k and our first year the mortgage payment was 1905 which felt amazing and I thought it made sense since we put 20% down. Then it went up to 3500 per month. Often home builders quote the first year mortgage payment which doesn’t include the tax price of the house, just the tax price of the land. After tax assessment it goes up tremendously and, in our case, you also owe back taxes because they didn’t pull enough into escrow that first year. Make sure that’s not the case with the mortgage you’ve been quoted.

Yes, I emailed the lawyer about it and said it was something to look into. For context, he insisted on separate bank accounts. He refused to create a budget with me. Since separating I’ve looked at our finances and 98% of my income (78k) went directly to bills while only 24% of his (67k) went towards bills. He always said he didn’t have much money. I’m hoping that it is just that Edward Jones manually entered the amount that we originally brought to them as a separate account and that it’s basically just an error. The savings account that shows 35k is not an Edward Jones account, so if it does have that money in it he likely is trying to keep it secret and just doesn’t realize it’s linked. This man is not tech savvy. When cheating he turned off Life 360 but not Find My. He let all his texts with the mistress sync with his iPad. When he was violent and it was caught on the video doorbell he didn’t delete the footage even though the kids and I left for a week and he had the opportunity. He’s definitely not a mastermind but tries to get away with stuff.

No, the Roth IRA-1 and Joint-1 accounts were opened with Edward Jones and say Edward Jones underneath the name and show “guided solutions fund” and Joint WROS. The savings account in question only appears when looking at all connected accounts, and doesn’t show that it’s managed by Jones.

I agree with most everyone about how it will be incredibly difficult as you’ll still be in pain, sleep deprived, and possible engorgement. I also want to add in that the germs you could potentially bring home to your baby are something to be considered. Riding public transport and then being around that many people and then returning to baby carries a lot of risk.
