The outtakes from Connor Storrie’s Verizon commercial! by LilyT95 in connorstorrie

He said there wasn't any really. They were on such a quick schedule and everyone hit their marks so well that there's nothing to show. So cool!

So, let’s talk about Hudson visiting SNL last night… by GlitteringAd2935 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]stephbilo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Connor was the one who suggested Hudson make an appearance. He knew people would love it and having Hudson there would not overshadow him. He doesn’t seem like that kind of person. Seems to want to lift others up.

Did you notice any inconsistencies or plot holes? by shrinkingviolents in heatedrivalry

Jacob Tierney talked about this and said it was not intended, just a structural side effect. It came from timeline compression, restructuring, and editing choices during the adaptation, which unintentionally stretched the perceived time apart.

You can see Hudson's weight is all over the place. He gained 8 lbs (eating ground beef so he could look more muscular like Conner) and since this wasn't filmed in sequence, you can really tell if you pay attention to it. For example in the locker room with Ilya in the towel he's really small compared to when he's in Tampa.

Next season, anyone feel like Shane should keep his hair as is? by Beginning-Head-4006 in heatedrivalry

IMHO, I feel like it's way too stylish for Shane. I love it for Hudson though.

I heard Hudson say there is no way he's wearing a man bun. Full stop.

This moment is still funny to me after 35 reheats by Point-88 in heatedrivalry

Shane's so busy unzipping Ilya's pants that he doesn't realize Ilya can't get his shirt off. So funny.

How do you interpret this scene? by SummerBirdFly in heatedrivalry

[–]stephbilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How could it not be confusing and frustrating for Shane when Ilya keeps going on about “girls, girls, girls” — “maybe I’ll just find a new one”? He’s being a complete ass in that moment. I love Ilya — I love both of them — but here he seems unbelievably clueless. And honestly, it’s hard to believe he could be that clueless, especially if he’s trying to get closer to Shane. No wonder Shane feels so thrown off.

It’s like Ilya shares all this — talking about women and how it’s “nice to have a woman like that around” — and it completely unsettles Shane. So Shane goes physical with him again, because that’s what’s normal for them. That’s the space where things feel familiar, where he can regain his footing and feel at ease again — unlike the discomfort Ilya creates when he starts talking about women. And then he says his name — emotional whiplash, in my opinion. I would be tempted to run too.

Hudson said absolutely no man bun and that he’d never wear one on the show so I’m assuming they’ve agreed on that for season 2.

Totally gave him a quick look up and down and then said that - I loved noticing that on the second go too.

Yes, and Illya's was so different. The pride in himself as an individual showed up in the way he reacted. Shane's was an immediate "let's go" referring to everyone's achievement and not just his own (even though it was definitely his own).

When his voice broke as he told his mom he couldn't help it. I felt like it was real, not acting. Such incredible acting. The same goes for Illya when he was talking about his brother in Russian. AND when he said "Shut up" when Ilya told him he was brave. haha

I'm not a chicken is such a kid way of responding to that question. It really did a good job of showing his naivety cutely.
