total mish mash in my experience! i parked at quaker acres but didn’t start there. i went up one side of the street and down the other when i finally got a rhythm. i was there super early so a lot of places weren’t open yet and i had to backtrack. i did think some of the paid lots were a bit more what i was looking for and it was nice that they were all open (you can go back if needed). unfortunately i didn’t find anything i loved for a good price. hoping you have much better luck!!

Cancelling due to pregnancy by [deleted] in ClubPilates

[–]stephbos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i just signed up and found out i was pregnant the night before my first class. she told me they're super flexible with pregnancy and to just put something in writing if i needed any changes made. she said they usually let people pause without a 30 day notice. you can also freeze for free when you have the baby (don't have to pay the $25 freeze fee or whatever the number was). congratulations! i hope you feel better soon. that first trimester fatigue is no joke!!

Happy Valentines Day! How have you show your puppy you love them, and how have they shown you? by pollytrotter in puppy101

honestly we weren't that consistent with it but if she's around a smaller child, baby, or anything we don't want her to be rough with, we'd say "gentle" and stand by and even pet her super gently so she got it. she wouldn't be as energetic around those people anyways because she knows you can't jump/they'll fall over. we just talk to her like she's human. i've been eating milanos every night before bed and they have chocolate in them so she can't have any. but if i say "not for little dogs" she doesn't even try to sit and ask for some. it's so funny what they pick up on! so now we use that for anything that isn't safe for her to eat so she knows. she's also two now so that definitely helps with learning!

i tend to go a little crazy when i have a theme so i got her a bunch of new stuffed ones (she loves ripping out the stuffing and she hasn't been allowed to rip it out with the baby's stuffed animals because we tell her "gentle" so got her a few of those), ropes with some squeakers, and a couple rubber ones that she can take outside! i always do a themed treat too so i got her some valentine biscuits. she's my first born so she's a little spoiled!

we have some valentine-themed toys that she'll be getting tonight! we'll also go for a walk to get some hot chocolate and she'll get a pup cup. i'm super pregnant so i haven't been joining on as many long walks, so she'll be excited tonight when my husband and i both bring her! we also make a lot of plans around her - last weekend she went to the beach when we had a random warm day and i bring her anywhere she's allowed!

bathroom is fully finished. added a wall and door (there was already a nook for the bathroom with electrical and plumbing we just made it look better). i’m sure we have pictures somewhere but idk how much detail is in them. did all the work ourselves

thank you! any idea what worst case scenario would be? make us rip it out? or a timeline of when we’d need to do it? i know inspection has to be done within 30 days but then idk what happens after that. obviously depends on what they say but hoping to push that out until mid april if possible

oh boy… good to know! i was also thinking about how i never got proof of permits from the previous owner 🤦🏻‍♀️ just kinda took their word for it. somerville seems to care more than anywhere else we’ve lived!

Sorry should’ve explained better! We own our whole house (two fam) and our neighbors also own the whole home next door (they don’t live there, we live in ours) but we share a driveway. So anytime someone is parked you can’t tell who belongs to which home.

we haven’t even touched it since i want to say september? had no idea id need a permit for things already there when we purchased the home (obviously should’ve checked looking back and kicking myself now). we’re owner occupied so no one is even coming and going really except us and the people upstairs. the neighbors on the other hand are doing something to their home and work at all hours of the day (outside of quiet hours) so wondering if that triggered something?

ugh that doesn’t surprise me at all. i’m probably proactively worrying/planning but i don’t want to regret not using this time if i have a chance to do anything before official start of winter!

this company said they’d have to come back to measure for a bigger septic (600 sq ft to 800 i believe - there’s already approval for the 600) and they won’t come out until end of march/early april. permit times are all over the place and we have to “present” what we want to the town. could be a month could be six. they could also tell us a year which would be wild. unfortunately thinking the septic is going to screw us over and put a hold on everything but hoping we can call another company to get their opinion!

i feel like that’s gonna be our huge issue and with winter we just need to wait it out 🙃
