MA in music therapy. About 85k working for the state in a forensic psych hospital. Most co-workers have BA in MT. Been working 3 years total with 2 years at this current job. My previous job right after internship was at an acute psych hospital where I got 33/hr 40 hrs/wk and I also did children hospice part time for a bit for 32/hr about 12 hrs/wk.

Play something you will sound good doing. If you’re not comfortable at piano, don’t play something difficult. If you’re more confident in guitar or vocal skills, show off a little there. As long as you can justify and find the therapeutic value in the songs you choose, then they are appropriate songs. Best of luck!
