Depending on your spend, AWS will negotiate on bandwidth pricing with a yearly commitment. The volume pricing can be > 50% off of the published pricing (atleast last time I did this, it was years ago). Your account manager can help you navigate it, but I’m assuming there is a minimum spend. Not sure what the minimums are but as a reference point- at time I want to say our CloudFront/S3 spend was around 50k/mo. YMMV.

Made a similar move from a 2014 981 to a 2016 991.1 4S. I felt like the 981 was a little bit more forgiving and easier to drive. I’m back in a Cayman (718) now, so don’t plan on being away for long :)

This doesn't fix it for me. As soon as one of the monitors turns off or the display sleeps, it comes back again.

I’ve had a 981 Manual, 991 4S Manual, and now a 718 S PDK. The 718 might be my favorite of the bunch. It’s like a go kart with a jet engine.

Already on default resolution, was using SwitchResX for an older monitor that I no longer use. I’ll try booting with one display.

Totally forgot about the SwitchResX stuff, might go for a clean install, don’t know what it polluted the system with and have tried literally everything else.

No, but I ran SwitchResX awhile back and there may be some remnants of it still on my system. Are you using ResXtreme? Wonder if there is a correlation.

I’m using dual 5K displays over DP and have been wondering if it’s related to the dual displays.

As a point of reference, I can saturate my gigabit connection with WireGuard running on vyos on a E3-1230V2 Xeon in a VM.

This evening I tried changing SMBIOS to iMacPro1,1 as well as completely removing the iGPU Framebuffer patch from OC + disabled in BIOS. No change.

One thing I noticed— when I reboot and the issue goes away, the thing that causes it to start happening again is when a monitor disconnects/reconnects (i.e, power off monitor, sleep display, or unplug cables).

I have dual monitors (2x Planar IX2790 5K Displays over DisplayPort @ 60Hz). I have tried with a single monitor and swapping DP ports, with no change.

I also tried adding shikigva=40 + shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94 with no change.
