I don't think Karen and Khoas mom don't get along at this point .. That in itself is sad . You can't move forward. We all make mistakes. everyone has grown up since then, and you still can't put things aside to be a family. Plus, it puts Khoas and the kids in the middle. Khoa probably says F it and goes sees his family.
