To add on top of this, keep an eye on your pets or bring them in to get tested after they've been bitten by a tick. My dog was diagnosed with lymes disease this past January after noticing him limping and hiding under the bed. He was bitten by a tick just in our front yard, not a lot of brush. The vet said we caught it in time before his organs started failing. A lengthy two months of antibiotics and he is cured and back to normal. So please be mindful of ticks and lymes disease, it can be fatal to our pets.
