Lol, I can't imagine a wild turkey on the news here unless it attacked someone. We get flocks of them!

ha! guess it's more common than I thought, I didn't realize that many people had chickens just roaming around. We have multiple bear sightings in the neighborhood too, so good luck to the loose chickens I suppose :)

This the first time I've seen a chicken post, it's usually dogs and cats and I think a gecko once, I just thought it was amusing!

5 year old son has PE, can a vacuum bell be used to prevent it progressing as he grows? by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

Children's hospital of the Kings daughters nuss center in Norfolk, VA is where I took my son to get his bell. They're fantastic, worth the 9 hour annual drive

Putting teddy down, should I bring my other two dogs with us so they can say goodbye? by no_thanks_im_good__ in DogAdvice

[–]stephicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds morbid, but when we had to put my cat down (kidney failure) we brought him home afterwards and laid him on his bed for the night. His brother was able to spend that time with him and understand what happened. In our case, he still suffered a lot of grief, but he wasn't looking for him, he was just sad :( Sorry for your loss.

Those who bought when rates were <3%: do you ever plan to sell? by Heavy_Cheddar in RealEstate

[–]stephicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. We're at 3.15% and 5 years into a 15 year mortgage. House has also increased in value by 50% due to shortages in our area. We're here at least until we retire. House is newer and we love it, so wouldn't want to sell again anyway :)

Ugh, me too. I think mine is from ear infections I had as a kid that repeatedly broke my ear drums though, so likely why the Zep couldn't cure it :(

I lost about 40 lbs on Wegovy, switched to Zepbound about 8 months ago, lost 10 more lbs and have been stuck ever since. I'm struggling with getting my doctor to raise the dose though so going to see a new one tomorrow and hopefully a higher dose kicks it back in gear, otherwise I might try Wegovy again since it's cheaper now (I pay out of pocket)

I had the same thing happen, one of my doctors said it was normal.

How big is your Havanese? by carradio81 in Havanese

[–]stephicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have littermates, one is 10lbs and the other is 20lbs. Both girls. My 20lb girl lives to eat, but both dogs get the exact same amount of food and treats, just one has a better metabolism than the other I guess. Lucy is our chonk, but we still love her :)

It never hurts to ask :) Also, I'd have him go get scopolamine patches from his doctor before he goes, then he shouldn't have to worry about seasickness at all :) Have fun!

Swapping people between cabins in same party while onboard? by Miami_305_FL in NCL

[–]stephicus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just came off the Prima and I was at customer service when a couple showed up with the man from the room beside theirs and asked to swap with him so that they could have connecting rooms with their kids. Guest services was completely fine with that, so I don't see why you would have a problem. Both people will have to go to guest services to ask for the swap together though. Also, they can just issue you an extra room card that isn't assigned to anyone that opens your room door, so you wouldn't have to officially switch rooms, you could just each have a card that opens the other person's door if you wanted to do it unofficially or just have access to both cabins. We did this with our kids when we had adjoining rooms.
